Spacious Cottage on Gator Pond, Hilton Head Island

This spacious cottage is a great beach getaway for a couple or the entire family (don't forget the grandparents!). The finest, widest Atlantic Coast beach (no riptide or undertow!), multiple resort pools and jacuzzis, clubhouse with movie rentals and games, gym access, shopping, fabulous restaurants and a calendar of activities offer a plethora of options ranging from total relaxation to full throttle GO! And if you're a golfer, this MUST be heaven. there are more courses on Hilton Head Island than you can play in a week!

Three bedrooms, three baths and four televisions guarantee that everyone can find as much privacy and flexibility as they want. The master features a king bed and a generously-sized bathroom with a spa jet tub. The second bedroom also has a king bed and a roomy bathroom with shower/tub. The third bedroom has two twin beds and a shower/bath, and two more can sleep on the sofa bed in the living room, which has comfy upholstered sofa and chairs, Dvd/vcr player and stereo. Eat in the dining room, at the kitchen counter, or on the balcony/deck which overlooks the lagoon where turtles and an occasional gator (never feed!) sunbathe. But you'll prefer to do your swimming at your choice of pools, or on the white sand beach for which Hilton Head is world reknown.

The kitchen is fully equipped, local grocery stores abound, and fresh catch-of-the-day is at the roadside stand, but you only need to know all that if you can resist the amazing variety of excellent restaurants on the Island. From fine dining to local brew pubs to seaside shanties, there is no end to the choices! We'll send you our list of favorites if you decide to come!

Walk or bike a short distance to the beach, shopping, restaurants. In fact, you can park the car and not move it all week, if you choose. Stay in touch with your loved ones by telephone or over wireless internet accessible from the clubhouse.

It's a perfect vacation, any time of the year, with any company you choose! And it doesn't get better than Hilton Head Island for attractions, activities or ambience!

Truly, your vacation in this Hilton Head cottage can be as active or as laid back as you like, starting from the moment you park the car. You can keep your exercise regimen in tact by power walking or biking on the beach or through the shady neighborhoods nearby, or visiting the gym at Player's Club nearby where you can have full privileges for the week at a very low cost. Or you can play a different pro class golf course every day of the week, or play tennis at one of several nearby clubs or courts. Or you can take a vacation from everything and lounge around one of the pools, each of a different design and ambience, or mosey a few blocks to the beach, rent a chaise and an umbrella and watch the tide go in and out, other vacationers sail, paddle, body surf, jet ski, skimboard or parasail by. When you're hungry, carry the catch-of-the-day (or burgers, dogs or your favorite cut) to the grill or fix 'em in your fully-equipped kitchen, eat in your dining room or out on the deck, unless you feel up to the big decision of which restaurant to try next. When it pleases you, take a long bath in the master bath's spa tub, or waste no time, take a quick shower and get to the next activity! The lagoons around you are loaded with turtles, and as you move around the resort, keep watch for the gators for which Hilton Head resorts are famous. Just remember, they're on vacation, too... live and let live!
