(3.5)The street and house are gorgeous. One of the best things was there were 5-6 deer with fawns hanging out in our back yard every day at various times. They provided wonderful bikes for all of us, and palmetto dunes is awsome for the wonderful paved biking trails!!! They also provided beach chairs which was wonderful, and it was great to not have to pack those along and waste car space. The street was a wonderful location for beach accessability. It was 1 mile exactly to the beach access so walking with toting children in a wagon took 15 minutes while biking took 5. Some days we had my husband drop us off with the car and he biked back to the beach to avoid carrying so much. The unfortunate parts of the week included; not enough kitchen utensils to make meals we selected, such as: no steamer, pitcher for drinks, working blender, and various other things you would imagine would be available when paying 2000 dollars for a week stay at the beach. The lighting in the back bathroom shower bewtween the 2 bedrooms was horrible! I could not even use that shower because the lighting was so dim, because the light is so old. Both shower heads are way outdated and there was no choice in spray. The cockroaches and spiders were also a negative feature in this home which became intolerabale when one of our children woke up to a roach crawling on her neck. NOW, with THAT being said, all of the things wrong with our stay here were easily corrected with a simple phone call to Pete, the property manager. He was AMAZING! He came out very quickly to take care of the bugs and had the exterminator come spray. we never saw another roach alive again, but we did see big spiders. The utensils were a problem and we had to improvise some but overall the the rating of this house is a 3.5 out of 5 because we had to deal with things we didn't really want to spend time dealing with on vacation. We would stay in this home again if we were assured there would be no bugs, or at least, less than we would see if we were camping. And if the house were adequately stocked with kitchen items. Otherwise the house would have been a rating 4-5 !!
