July 2008 This is our second visit to America but our first visit to Hilton Head Island. We have had a wonderful time but as usual the time went very quickly. We spent most of the time on the beach or cycling around. The villa was clean and quiet which was really good as we are traveling with five children. Vielen Dank, The Blums Leverkusen, Germany
May 2008. We stayed at the Turnberry Villa right on the Fazio golf course, which has low rates in the afternoon. The villa was spacious and close to everything. Our only suggestion is to make sure you rent the beach bikes because you will enjoy the ride around the planation and on the island. We would rent here again. -Cindy & Warren Boyd, Denver, NC
April-May 2008. This villa is great and is the ideal vacation spot for two reasons: beauty and location. The villa is beautiful. Everything is color-coordinated; the decor is restful and serene. The villa is fully equipped making it unnecessary to go to a restaurant for meals. The location is ideal. It is in the center of the islandnothing is very far away. Nonetheless, it is very quiet and peacefulthe building next door absorbs all street noises. We walked to the beach, biked to marinas. The tennis and golf facilities were just a few hundred yards from the villa. We like to kayak and bike. We rented bikes from the store across the lagoon, accessible by footbridge. We biked all over the island. The bike rental place picked up the bikes from the villa after we left. We rented kayaks three times from three different marinas and saw very different scenery. We also like wild life. In the lagoon just behind the villa we were able to identify and watch the following birds: male and female great blue herons, male and female anhingas, ospreys, cormorants, greater egrets, snowy egrets, grebes, a bluebird, a towhee, a kingfisher, a merganser, ducks, and some other birds that we did not identify at the time. At other sites we saw alligators, dolphins, and shorebirds. The Saks Fifth Avenue outlet store, offering some real bargains, is less than 5 minutes away. On our first trip, we found so much to do that we did not have time to go to nearby Savannah.
