Description of the Hilton Head vacation villa rental

Our property is a beautifully decorated, updated two-story townhouse located on the 8th tee of the Clipper course in Shipyard Plantation. On the first floor is a large foyer with an atrium, a powder room, newly-renovated kitchen with a separate eat-in area, a laundry area, dining area and living room which has a flat panel TV, DVD player, and CD player. The large picture window allows easy viewing of the golfers and local wildlife in the lagoon. There is also a fireplace in the living room. Each of the nicely decorated bedrooms upstairs has its own bathroom and deck. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and its recently updated bath has a separate garden tub and shower. There is a deck off the master bedroom. There is a flat panel in the master bedroom, also. The second bedroom has a king-size bed and its own bath. It also has a tv. The third bedroom is twin-bedded and has its own bathroom and TV. These two bedrooms share a deck overlooking the pool. The pool is directly across from our unit, which is located in a secluded area of the plantation. The villa has dsl wireless internet connection, a washer and dryer, and a fully-outfitted kitchen. Our property is recently painted and has new carpeting and furniture in the living room with new tile throughout the downstairs. A free hour of tennis daily at Van Der Meer Tennis Center in Shipyard is included. Previous guests have commented that our villa is like a home away from home.

Hilton Head is a beautiful vacation spot with unspoiled beaches, a multitude of golf courses, a large variety of restaurants, and outstanding shopping both on-island and off. Fishing, boating, tennis, and biking are all easily accessible. Shipyard Plantation has a lovely bike path, as well as 3 9-hole golf courses on the property. There are also lagoons in which to fish. The well-known Van Der Meer Tennis Center is located in Shipyard, as well as a beachfront Crowne Plaza Hotel. There is also a Beach Club available to guests with bathrooms and beach showers. Savannah is a mere 40 minutes away and Charleston just 90 minutes with wonderful sightseeing.

Hilton Head is a family-oriented vacation spot. The beaches are beautiful, the water is warm, and the waves are gentle enough for small children to enjoy. There are restaurants galore--one could eat out every night for a month and still have untried restaurants. For the shopper in you, there are many gift, clothing and jewelry shops to visit and find a treasure to take home as a vacation souvenir. You will find the pace on Hilton Head to be very low-key and relaxing. Full-time island residents will tell you they are living in paradise! Spend a week or more in our villa and enjoy what Hilton Head has to offer and you will have a wonderful vacation to remember for years to come. And......you can always come back again next year!

The villa was wonderful..more than enough space for 4 people. Pictures did not lie...very clean, well stocked and very centrally located...great view of the golf course... My only bad comment is that the weather was not as beautiful as it was last yr. when I was out there...only 1 day of sun...but we made the most of the trip anyway.

Some may consider traveling to Hilton Head Island in February as a less desirable time to travel, but there was nothing undesirable about the property we rented or it's location within the plantation. The combination of the unit's beauty and locale made our trip something special. The villa was a gem. We arrived late in the evening and all I could hope for came true. The villa was clean and well-appointed; the amenities were plentiful. We all settled in for a nice night's rest and awoke to the most pictoresque view on the golf course. The foliage and fauna were tropical and peaceful. I could have stayed in that location for weeks. Our trip definitely ended too soon. We have already discussed rented the same villa again someday soon. I consider myself hard to impress, so hopefully those that read this review will understand that rave compliments from me a rare...so this is a villa that needs to be experienced. We rated our stay the mazimum of 5 stars but the place deserves 10!

The villa was found to be as described. It was updated and had large open windows. The kid's liked their own bathroom and balconies. We simply walked acrossed the drive to the pool and the beach was a short drive. The golfing was great and easy to get a tee time. The area is pleasant and gated with security. I found the weekly rate to be right on target compared to other villas researched and the end unit was nice. However, the villa did have a lot of scheduled maintanence which included pest control (not unusual for the south), power washing of the villa and decks, and landscaping which occurred over 3 days. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time. These acitivities became anouying but soon forgot about. Also, we did not recieve the free 1 hour tennis at Van Der Meer which we called to verify however there is a tennis court close by which was free to use. We were disappointed in the maintanence but not the villa. I would stay again.
