HHR Unit 2215

March 18, 2014

The resort is very nice. Beautiful outdoor pool, very well maintained. Indoor pool area is great for bad weather days. The beach here is really nice, very wide, and flat. Access is a minor issue since it's a few minutes walk on the boardwalk but there is a cart/shuttle that runs to/from the beach periodically and if you walk, the boardwalk runs through a wonderful nature/tidal area. This particular unit is nice, clean and bright, but needs a little TLC. The only significant issue is that the dishwasher is old and barely functions (makes a lot of noise and doesn't really clean). It really needs to be replaced. The TVs are still CRTs but work well and have DVD players. For the off-season price, this is a great place to stay, and I would stay there again. If I was paying the on-season price I would have more of an issue with the dishwasher not working and would rate it lower overall, maybe 3 stars.

Nice Resort - but this condo was disappointing

September 18, 2012

I was very disappointed in my stay at Hilton Head Resort. I have stayed at other resorts on the island and had a much better time. The doors did not work properly and we had a very difficult time securing our belongings. The maintenance staff had to come the following day and completely replace our front door lock. Pools are average but the private beach is beautiful. The living quarters are small but work wiell for a family. Doubt I will venture to stay here again unless it is a very good deal.

Very clean, perfect for a getaway

We really enjoyed staying in this villa. It was very clean. The walk to the beach was a little long with small children but we would definitely stay here again!

Okay for the price--a few bad experiences

May 24, 2011

Stayed the first week in May. It was pretty quiet around the resort, which was nice for us. On first glance the condo appeared to be pretty well kept but after being there just 20 minutes I discovered my son's feet were completely black from dirt (he had been running around barefoot in the condo). We took a paper towel to the floor and it came up black as well--VERY dirty. We called the property owners and they did get the cleaning crew over immediately. The other bad experience was the complex decided to paint the door while we were staying there without any prior notice. We came back from the beach and my nephew leaned up against the door before we realized it was wet paint. It ruined his clothing and left a huge paint stain on his arm and leg for days. The condo did fit our needs well, the boardwalk was convenient, the beach was great, the property owners were very kind and easy to work with, and we couldn't beat the price. So would have given much higher rating if we didn't run into the problems.

not a good experience

May 9, 2011

when booking I has asked if this was handicapped accesible as my sister is in a wheelchair and I am on crutches - the shower stall was impossitble the door is for midgets - we could hardly get in or out - then the bed was one of those high things - I had asked about that - we had to struggle and struggle to get up in it - when people tell you they are handicapped you should warn them about those stupid high beds - if you are on crutches you are not an acrobat the refrigerator went HOT - melted the butter and ice cream and we lost the food for five meals which we had to eat out and it was a mess trying to clean it up with paper towels Saturday we were supposed to check out at 10 am - at 9 am some blonde lady charged in with flowers in her hand as my sister was changing her episioutomy bag and startled us both so it spilled all over the bed - then someones walked in on us as we were trying to dress at least 45 minutes before 10 am - so we rushed trying to get out of there and forgot to take the garbage bags to the dumpster which we had trouble finding and forgot to find someone to help us locate it - we found the double doors in the garage but couldn't open them to throw out any garbage

Affordable comfort

Accommodations were clean and refreshing. Well within the budget, close to the beach. Looking forward to staying again.

Would stay at the resort again

April 22, 2010

The accommodations are not spectacular but the price was right and it was nice to stay in a condo rather than a hotel. I stayed with my two daughters who shared the room with the two twin beds, perfect size place for the three of us. This unit does not have a view of anything and it is a building with a roof over the courtyard for the indoor pool. All in all I was satisfied with the rental process, pricing, and the accommodations.

Great Getaway

September 23, 2009

Our family enjoyed the quiet getaway to HHI. The property was clean and the condo was the perfect size for the two of us and our two young children. With the rates being so affordable we chose this unit although originally looking for something closer to the beach. The walk even with two kids and all their stuff wasn't bad and sometimes we took advantage of the hourly shuttle. We relaxed on the beach; kids played in the water and sand, enjoyed a few libations from Coco's and made stops at Shelter Cove and Harbor Town. Again, perfect getaway! Thank you

Awesome Property

February 24, 2009

Everything about this property is wonderful. It is crispy clean, bright and spacious. A true home away from home. The location is a stone's throw away from everything else on the island and the beach is a brisk walk on the boardwalk behind the villa. I will make it a point to recommend this property to others. While it is not directly on the beach, you have immediate access to the beach and quick access to the bridge if you are going site seeing off the island or over to Savannah during your stay. I will definitely stay again. Moe DeNiro
