Hilton Head villa

May 27, 2014

My husband and I stayed at this villa for a couple of nights, and overall it was a nice place. We had some difficulty getting admitted thru the gated entry, but after communicating with the owner, all was good. This property is "beachfront", but the boardwalk to access the beach is probably 1/2 mile long, so be prepared to either walk a lot to get to the beach or wait for the golf cart shuttle. The villa itself was clean, although it wasn't stocked with many kitchen items (no salt and pepper, coffee filters, etc.), so if you plan to use the kitchen, a trip to a grocery store will be necessary. Overall, for the price it was very good, and we'd probably stay there again if we visit Hilton Head.

I read all the positive reviews but must admit I was disappointed upon arrival. Villa was smaller than anticipated. Two adults and a 13 year old stayed in the villa. We were on top of each other during our stay. Our child tried the sleeper sofa - extremely uncomfortable. He was too big for the bunk beds so he slept on the couch. The main bed could have been a little better. Two of the pools are off the property. The unit would be perfect for a couple or couple with small children. Definately not for couples with teenagers. Villa was clean. Good location. Had no problem checking in or out.

Not right on the beach as listed but nice

August 14, 2013

We were a little disappointed when we arrived and were not ocean front as the VRBO site would have you to believe. We ended up having to use our stroller to transport all of our beach things and just carried our infant which was a little inconvienient. The ocean is a 15 minute walk on the private boardwalk and the scenery is beautiful. You are able to take a shuttle at specific times if you don't want to walk. The beach and ocean are fantastic! The condo was nice. The living room doesn't have enough comfortable seating for 6. There was a couch and chair that were nice but the wire bench was uncomfortable and no matter where you moved it, you stubbed your toe on it. In order to use the oven, you had to open the fridge because there wasn't enough room for the oven door. The condo has alot of amenities that were nice, 3 pools, tennis courts, a deil and gift/convenience store. The wifi wasn't working when we were there. It was probably very nice in its day but you can tell its an older complex. For what we paid, it was worth the money.

Great beach with plenty of room. Resort has generous pool space; boardwalk to the beach a tad long but enjoyable scenery.

Get Away

September 17, 2012

I stayed for a week at the Resort, it seemed to have everything I needed. The unit I stayed in was up dated with tile through out. The kitchen needed new pots and pans, they were in need of new ones. The coffee pot had mole in it, certainly was not clean the last time someone stayed. I cleaned it enough to get by and it seemed to work ok. I purchase a can opener, they had one but the handle was missing and I could not use it. Other than that it was great.

Did Not Meet Expectations

August 27, 2012

The first thing I look forward to when entering a villa, is a clean environment. This villa absolutely did not exceed my standards or come close. There were two towels that contained a gunk/grease type substance. This is not something any person should have to see before taking a shower. One side of the shower curtain contained mold trailing from top to bottom. The worst part of this experience was the fact that the floor was beyond filthy. You would imagine cleaning company would at least sweep and wash before families occupy the premise, this was not the case. I have a small child and it did not take long for the bottom of her socks to be a soiled color. Thank goodness we bring slippers every trip we take. There were multiple bulbs shot in various rooms. The only positive comment I can make about this stay was the fact that the villa owners responded to these issues in a timely manner. That being said, it does not make up for the fact that we had to experience such an unwelcoming entry into our villa. Family will certainly not be staying here in the future, nor recommending to friends and family members.

Peaceful

May 8, 2012

Our place was wonderful, roomy, clean and oh sooooo peaceful. The pool was just across the walk way and I could go there , sit and read forever. I walked to the beach a few times, yep walked, it was that close and a beautiful beach it was. Now if I wanted excitement all I had to do was drive a short distince to the heart of Hilton Head's main streets and there it was, shopping, golfing, eating and hanging out with friends! Yessiree, couldn't ask for more! We'll be back next year!!

Decent

July 18, 2011

We just returned from our stay here and I would say that for the price, it was a decent place to stay. The condo was very clean with the exception of the tile floors. They were very dirty from the moment we first walked in. We never walked around the condo without our sandals on. My biggest complaint is we didn't have hot water and I tried contacting the owners via text and phone and never received a response. I finally had to contact the power company myself to try and fix the problem. Not exactly what I wanted to do on my vacation!!

Spring Location

March 29, 2011

The condo complex is very good, not luxurious but well suited for a 2-3 weeks vacation. Beginning of March was a little cool but this would be a great place to go starting in April, May, June and july must be perfect for families with young kids. The beach is a short walk on the boardwalk right behind the condo complex.

Great value, Great vacation.

January 8, 2011

Great villa for the money. Indoor pool, hot tub, sauna & exercise room in same building as villa. Villa was clean and comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen, all you need is food (and don't forget your favorite spices) December is a great time to see HH (if you don't mind not being able to do outdoor watersports). 3 of the 6 days the weather was great (60-70 degrees) the other 3 we spent doing indoor activities like the "Sandbox" children's interactive museum & swimming in the indoor pool at the resort. I would definitely recommend this as a budget & family friendly vacation destination.

Fall Getaway

October 8, 2010

My wife and I decided to take a short vacation in early Fall. This was our first trip to HHead and we knew very little about the island. We found an ad on Vacation Home Rentals. The villa was just as described. Very clean and had enough room for the 4 of us to relax. Lots of things to do on premises and actually not far from dining, stores, and groceries. Would be happy to stay there again.

Great Value!

September 21, 2010

The location is excellent, and the beach is wonderful. We didn't mind the walk on the boardwalk at all... It's not long, and there are lots of birds and tidepools to look at. If you're carrying a lot of stuff you may want to wait for the shuttle, but we didn't. The outdoor pools were nice, also. The unit is nicely decorated and is very clean. We were very happy with our accomodations, and we will likely stay at this resort again, but perhaps in a sunnier unit with an outdoor balcony, instead of looking inward to the covered pool area. This unit has only two windows to the outside (in the bedrooms.) Building Three (where it is located) is somewhat dark. However, this building does have wifi in the courtyard, and you can get internet access in the living room of the unit, which is nice. (Didn't have a signal in the bedrooms, though). I should say, for those trying to decide where to stay, that this condominium complex is not as posh as some others on the island (but it is also a lot more affordable.) Many island workers live here, and it feels more like an apartment complex than a resort. If this bothers you, than you might be disappointed. However, the unit itself is very nice and you can't argue with the value.

Last Minute Deal

June 7, 2010

Upon arrival to the villa we were not given any information about the grounds. (No direction on where the pools were located or how to get to the beach) The elevator was broken! 3 small children and only 1 adult to carry all the luggage up 4 flights of stairs! The railings around the indoor pool were spaced out enough that a child could fit through them so being on the 4th floor where my kids could easily fall from the balcony was disturbing. There was tons of construction going on so the smell of paint was terrible. There were random men walking around the indoor facility which is scary for a mom vacationing alone with children. The villa itself was decent for the money but the building and pools were disgusting. The "Short Walk" to the beach was very misleading - there was nothing short about it.(especially with toddlers, chairs, and beach toys)After dealing with all of the other issues my car was hit in the parking lot! The security guards were rude and didn't want to help. If you are looking for a small step above the projects this is a great place. If you want to feel safe while vacationing and not have to worry about getting attacked or geting sick from swimming in disgusting pools spend the extra money and stay somewhere else.

Wonderful Condo and Resort

September 3, 2009

This condo is wonderful! It is clean and updated and it has nice furniture and a well appointed kitchen. My family and I loved that the indoor pool is in the same building as the condo. I would definitely recommend staying in this unit. We hope to stay in this condo the next time we vacation in Hilton Head!

Hilton Head Resort #3114 villa

July 26, 2009

My family stayed in Bldg. #3, enclosed where was very hot when exiting the villa. They make everyone go inside at 11pm, our kids & us adults felt like prisonors. Noone is allowed out of villa after 11pm. Room was confirmed to have a DVD player. Upon arrival, there wasn't one. I called Steve & it took 2 days to get us one. WOuld reccommend this is cooler weather. Why don't they install large fans for circulation or something? Room was nice enough.
