Starlight Cabin - Great "Get-a-way"

I absolutely loved the cabin. The first night we came, I could not find it in the storm. It took about an hour before I finally decided to go to the guard’s station for assistance. Once we were directed to our cabin, where my other cousins already were, POOF…the electric goes out. My cousins were on the counter top or on the couch with their feet far away from the floor. WHY? Because they were afraid of a little frog they had seen earlier. I thought it was funny. The only thing I wanted to do at that point was have a nice cocktail. So…I did!! We played around and scared each other all night, which reminded me of little teenage girls. It was really fun. They were referring to the cabin as Camp Crystal Lake. Hahahaha!!! We went to bed around 1am or so, but not without flashlights and knives. LOL!! The following morning we happy to see the service was up and running, so we were able to cook. The first thing we made was not breakfast food, but PIZZA. It was going to be our dinner the previous night. We enjoyed the hot during our stay as well. The scenery was a beautiful sight to see when the sun came up and when it set. We were also very happy that the cabin consisted of all the amenities any guess would need. We never had a chance to get out and do any canoeing or horseback riding, but we will next trip. The cabin consumed our time and it was well worth it. We are still talking about it on Facebook.

My friend and I went to the cabin to get away and relax. It was the perfect place. The drive way is a bit hidden and very steep. The cabin was beautiful and spacious. Hot tub was wonderful. Neighbors were awesome! We lost electric for a few hours due to a tree knocking out lines but there were plenty of candles in the cabin to light it up. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

The stay was fun we loved the hot tub the most we cooked out played games. And enjoyed the scenery.

My husband and I spent a wonderful and relaxing 26th wedding anniversary at the secluded cabin. As mentioned in a prior summary, we also wish we had a 4-wheel vehicle as with the rain and leaves, we almost got stuck in the driveway, but with some shoveling, we made it the rest of the 3 days we where there. Thankfully, it rained just a day and 1/2 and the rest of the time it was beautiful. It is not somewhere we would go in the winter. The hot tub was the focal point after trips to towns for shopping and Hocking Hills State Park to just relax. You must go to the park and see Cedar Falls! Logan is the closest town and then Lancaster is a bit bigger and has stuff to do and see. You should bring charcoal and a brush with you for cleaning up as that's not provided; and, there are a few things in the cabin that didn't quite work right, but we made due and overall, our trip was fine. It's a great place for a short get away and the seclusion was what we needed to revitalize us! Thanks!

Trish, The cabin was very nice and comfortable. The price was quite reasonable for our stay at Hocking Hills. The hot tub was relaxing after hiking all day! Having the washer and dryer really came in handy while vacationing. Thank you for the wonderful stay at the Starlight it was great. Would highly recommend this cabin to everyone.

It's location in Hideaway hills perfectly describe it's location. It is tucked away in the hilly wooded area about 15 miles from the spectacular Hocking Hills State park. Although it is a little older than many of the advertised cabins, although it is quite spacious and kept very clean. We were surprised at the size. Two bedrooms, bath and a half and very large living room and kitchen. The Hot tub an the back deck was left clean and was enjoyed after a day of hiking. Price was very fair compared to other cabin prices. Don't be scared off from the drive to the park. It is a beautiful scenic drive that took no more than 30 minutes to the park Highly recommend it for those looking for secluded space on a reasonable budget.

My husband, my best friend and our children had a great time!!There was so much to do! We went hiking at Old Man's Cave which was only about 15 minutes away. After hiking all day, the hot tub was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the stars. The cabin was beautiful and truly felt like a, "home away from home". The skylights in the master bedroom added that extra romantic feel to our stay. We always enjoy our stay in Hocking Hills and Starlight Cabin made our vacation, extra special.Thank you so much, for such a wonderful experience!!

Spent the weekend here with my boyfriend for his birthday. The only bad thing I can say about this cabin is it's very hard to find the back driveway to park and the driveway is VERY steep. It's a good thing we had a 4-wheel drive truck to get up and down the driveway. Other than that we loved it! It's a quaint cabin in the middle of beautiful hills and was perfect for us. The hot tub was very nice to come back to after a day of hiking in the hills!

We stayed at the Starlight Cabin for 3 nights. It was a nice place for our family of 6 to get away. I didn't realize what the property would be like never having been there before. It really is beautiful. The hiking was lots of fun. I wish we would have brought along some tennis rackets for the kids to play some tennis. Other than that, the cabin had pretty much everything we needed except food. We all enjoyed the hot tub after hiking!
