Description of the Holderness vacation home rental

Location: Squam Lake, Lakes Region, New Hampshire, USA (2 Hours from Boston, 4.5 hrs from New York City)

Accommodations: House, 5 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2 Baths (Sleeps 8-10)

Old fashioned turn of the century charm, this house is located in Holderness, New Hampshire on top of Shepherd Hill. With 5 bedrooms, two fireplaces, an airy living living room, dining room and wonderful screened porch, the house commands fabulous views of Squam Lake, White Oak Pond and the White mountains.

Red clay tennis court on property. Access to a beach and swimming area in a private cove on Squam lake, which is only a mile from the house. Great for kids.

Area Information

Terrific boating and fishing on Squam. Nearby marina and boat rental opportunities. Great hiking in the area, and the White Mountains are less than an hour away. Challenging running up and down New Hampshire's hilly terrain.

Good restaurants in Meredith, Holderness, Ashland, and Plymouth. Amusement parks, mini golf etc. in Laconia. Great New Hampshire golf courses nearby. Science center in Holderness has great exhibits and programs for kids and adults.
