Description of the Holetown vacation villa rental

Just some of the words which describe Blue lagoon. This wonderful three bedroom villa exemplifies Caribbean living at its best!

The house is set on a bluff overlooking the sea with private access to the small beach below. Directly in front of the house is a beautiful small lagoon which provides excellent swimming, snorkelling, fishing and boat access - hence the name Blue Lagoon.

The property has a highly attractive combination of a private deck with secluded terrace and pool overlooking the Caribbean, with steps down to Alleynes Bay beach

The villa is newly furnished with top quality pieces, pickled wood ceilings and louvered shutters, all in Caribbean style.

Throughout there are also high quality original paintings by well respected Bajan artists.

This privately owned villa is let complete with all equipment and utilities, and is run by the owner's trained staff. Food and drink are not provided in the rate for this villa, but can be provided with prior notice

The Villa has spacious reception rooms, impressive entrance hall, lounge and dining areas with modern powder room and fitted kitchen on the ground floor.

The large deck with its plunge pool is the ideal place to work on your tan, enjoy stunning sunsets and savour romantic dinners.

The first floor has three double bedrooms all with dressing areas and en suite bathrooms. Two with fabulous ocean views and the third with a pleasant outlook over the mature gardens.

My lovely housekeeper, Glennis will spoil you and tend to all your needs and is a fabulous cook should you want to stay in as most guests find it hard to leave the beautiful location! There is an extra maid/laundress if needed, also a gardener and pool man. There is an option of a security guard at a cost of £50 per night.

All of the bedrooms are under the same roof, all have en-suite bathrooms and two are fairly equal in size while the third is much smaller.

The master bedroom is expansive and features a marble en-suite bathroom with a large, deep tub and combined shower, double sinks and sitting area. Windows from the master suite provide exceptional views of the beach and Caribbean Sea.

The plunge pool is the perfect place to work on your tan when you don't want to be too far from your home comforts.

A fully fitted kitchen with all the high spec appliances you'd expect.

The wet bar is great for entertaining and keeping the kitchen tidy.

Area Information

Blue Lagoon is on the West Coast of the island overlooking the Caribbean, one mile from Holetown, six miles to the capital Bridgetown, approx fourteen miles to Grantley Adams International Airport.

It has beach access to Alleynes Bay (one of the best west-coast beaches) with Royal Pavilion and Glitter Bay hotels at the south end (about a mile away) and the Lone Star Cafe = which is one of the 'in spots' in the Caribbean - in the middle of the bay.

The hotels have excellent facilities - water sports of most types, tennis courts, gyms, boutiques, salons, both formal and informal bars, and wonderful gardens. All of these facilities are accessible to the Blue Lagoons guests and other non residents.

Holetown, a mile to the south, has pharmacies, supermarkets, banks, doctors, nightclubs and restaurants while Weston village, with its fishing boats, fresh fish market and shell gallery, is also a mile to the North.

Sandy Land and Royal Westmoreland gold courses, Port St Charles yacht marina and David Lloyd's Sugar hill tennis complex are all about two miles away.

Barbados has an amazing selection of beaches and coastlines = the tranquil Caribbean west coast, the crashing Atlantic waves on the east coast, the rugged north coast, and the fun and surfing on the South coast.

Natural attractions on the island are plentiful, including Harrison's caves, the flower Forest, the Wildlife Reserve, not to mention the beautiful diving/snorkelling and the countryside.
