Very Gracious Hostess

We were given prompt, courteous attention from our first inquiry. While at the cabin, we had no cell phone service, but we were able to use the land line in the cabin. There was a helpful binder of maps and brochures to help navigate the area. At night we felt some lack of privacy due to the see-thru bamboo shades covering the many windows in the living area, but it was very open and scenic during the day time. After our stay, we let the owners know that we had a small mishap and had broken something. The hostess was very gracious, then when I realized I had left something at the cabin, she allowed us to retrieve it with ease. Thank you, Diane!

A Bit of Heaven in the Piney Woods of East Texas

We loved the rustic log cabin located on a quiet cul-de-sac surrounded by lush, tall pine trees. Having deer come to visit was a wonderful experience.. The porch swing and chairs on the front pouch were very inviting for a relaxing time listening to the evening sounds of the chirping cicadas and the calling of the wild birds. The cabin was decorated so lovely on the inside with every detail and amenity provided. This was a vacation that we will remember fondly.

We were pleasantly surprised about how well stocked the cabin was with not only daily essentials such as cooking supplies and trash bags, but The Wahls had also provided some extras just for fun. My girls were excited to find board games and pool toys in the closet! The cabin is very clean and feels very roomy. Tucked away in the pine trees, you immediately feel peaceful and secluded. We have stayed at the Holly Lake resort's cabins previously but found our new favorite spot this year at the Pine Cone Cabin. Thank you both for a memorable get-away!

Perfect Cabin Vacation!

Best location in the entire area! From the moment we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. Your thoughtfulness to details was very much appreciated and made our stay perfect. We had a great time fishing on the lake and riding our bikes through the neighborhood. Beds, futon and sofa were comfortable to sleep on. Plenty of hot water. All the kitchen appliances were clean and worked well. Plenty of dishes and utensils to cook with. Well stocked with towels, extra toilet paper and paper towel. Bathrooms were clean. Entire cabin was clean with plenty of furniture, but not crowed. Beautiful and relaxing setting. Many available activities. Would stay here again.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was comfortable, cozy and well equiped. We enjoyed watching the deer that would come out around Holly Lake Ranch in the morning and evening time. Really enjoyed this property and appreciated the kindness of the owners throughout the email process. There were no hidden rental traps or anything hidden in the photos shown. The place was cozy and perfectly located in a safe private community surrounded by beautiful pine trees and plenty of nature. It was more than what I expected.

Relaxing Vacation

We enjoyed the privacy we had at the Pinecone Cabin. It was one relaxing vacation from our hectic lives. Our children would like to come back and stay longer. The cabin was so spacious and comfortable. I would recommend the place to anyone who wants a quiet and restful getaway. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the activity center in the area.

The cabin was great for us and our two grandson's (ages 10 & 13 ). They fished, played golf, swam and were amazed at all the deer we saw. Our grandson's even suggested that we retire at Holly lake. We plan to go back sometime in the fall. We recommend the cabin , and might add that the owners were very accommodating.

This cabin is wonderfully maintained and fully equipped with everything one will need. The Wahl's have gone to great detail in making this a truly wonderful get-away. Quiet, nestled in beautiful pine surrounds, the wildlife flourish. Four large bucks come across the property within 20 feet of the house every day. Early morning and late evening drives find deer, racoons, squirrels, rabbits everywhere you choose to look. Lake Hawkins provides a bounty of fishing from the bank ... small perch, catfish are easy to catch for fun! We enjoyed a wonderful weekend and surely plan to return.

We had a great time at Pine Cone cabin! Everything was so clean and nicely appointed. Very relaxing with plenty of room and outdoor space. The resort ammentities such as a lake, paddle boats/canoes, archery, golf, were a nice bonus also.

Our family enjoyed staying here. Although not real fancy, the home is very clean and nicely furnished. All the necessary comforts were found. The home feels secluded since lot is covered with tall pine trees, providing a quiet and peaceful location. Will definitely stay again.

Very clean and comfortable place for a vacation. We loved the feeling of being secluded while still being close enough to enjoy all the amenities of Holly Lake Ranch. Awesome Log Cabin

We enjoyed the stay at this cabin. We felt like we were the first ones to stay, it was so clean and refreshing. The community was very nice and the security was very helpful to let us know about different areas to go fishing and other activities. The pools were well maintained. We definately recommend this cabin.
