Write a review We just spent 9 days at this place and loved it. The place as expected was fully furnished and very clean and met our standards which I want to personally thank you for, since that was such an important factor especially when renting without seeing. It was a very comfortable stay and felt like home. Overall I would rate this a 10 on a scale of 1-10 if you want to have a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday routine. Would definitely reconsider going back if in the area again. Thanks for allowing us to rent this place. Special thanks for a wonderful getaway. The cabin was very nice and relaxing. This is a home away from home where you can enjoy indoors or outdoors it has all the amenities to make you feel at home. It is definitely a place that my family and I would come back to. Thank you for opening up your home to our family. What a lovely retreat. Clean, neat, great furnishings, new, cozy! Fantastic nature surroundings. We were there in the height of the dogwood trees, absolutely spectacular. Will definitely return! We had such a wonderful time in your lovely home! The area was so beautiful and peaceful. Beautifully furnished with a Texas theme. Sit on the porch and see a parade of deer daily. Like nature? This is the place to be. Take nature walks, play golf, swim, tennis. If you want to eat out you have got to try A Taste of Italy located on Lake Hawkins, just 10-15 min. away. It's the real deal. The perfect place to be alone or meet other family members for a reunion. Large pavillion onsite (free) Plan on going back next month. The house was great very clean and cozy we had a good and relaxing time my daughter and her friend really like watching the deer thanks Rene We enjoyed so much our relaxing weekend at Holly Lake. My Mom owns land but not a home, so we enjoy renting property. Of all the homes we've rented so far, we love this one best. It is clean and clutter free. Has all the conveniences you need. The screened in porch was great! We loved watching the deer in the mornings and evenings. We stayed at this cabin for 5 days while my husband was home for r&r from Iraq and we loved it so much! We needed somewhere we could just hang out as a family but still have plenty to do. It had everything we needed and my kids loved the swimming and miniature golfing. There were even a few Disney movies for us to watch and just relax with each other. We especially enjoyed drinking coffee on the porch and watching all the deer. It was beautiful! Everyone we met was super nice. We will definitly be back again. Thanks for everything Carol! The house is so quiet and cozy, the boating on the lake was terrific. We had lots of fun at the pool. Morning coffee on the porch watching the deer was fabulous. Can not get a vacation getaway like this for the price. Thanks for the hospitality, we will be back. Jenny Very nice and clean house that is furnished with everything you need. Very peaceful with a great view out the front windows. Owner was easy to work with concerning info and questions. This is a very, very nice home in a nice wooded area. Everything is there to help you settle in - dishes, washing machine, towels. I enjoyed the scenery of trees and deer. My small children enjoyed the pool and miniature golf. Everybody we met was friendly and helpful. Even with the hot temperatures, the home and surroundings are comfortable in all the shade. This is a vacation that does NOT require another vacation afterwards to recuperate. We'll definitely be returning! WE HAD A GREAT WEEKEND. EVERYTHING WE NEEDED WAS THERE. LOTS OF FRESH AIR AND THE AMENITIES WERE GREAT. HOUSE WAS EXTREMELY NICE AND AREA IS BEAUTIFUL. WILL BE BACK AGAIN. THANKS FOR THE RELAXATION CAROL We had a very relaxing weekend. No phones ringing, no sirens, no dogs barking.Peace and quiet.Great place to get away from the busy city hussle and bussle. Everyone was very friendly.Owner was very helpful. We spent five nights in this cottage. It was very quiet! Nice size, great screen porch. Comfortable queen sized bed, all the comforts of home.

Spent a week in the most relaxing area of the piney woods. The house is immaculate and all of the comforts of home are provided. We will be back again next year for a longer stay.
