It's easy to see our location offers something for everyone, but most importantly, the quiet charm and warm DeSoto hospitality completes a holiday to remember in the warm sub-tropical climate of South Florida. Why not join us soon for a short visit or extended stay.
sarahsatya Chapel Hill, North Carolina TRIPADVISORI spent last week at the Desoto Inn. (June, 2014) I needed a place to stay that would feel like a vacation for my husband and myself while visiting South Fla. I cried as i entered the beautiful garden area- full of the smells and visual sights of my childhood- brilliant colored flowers in beautifully landscaped areas that said that they had been there forever. The room was clean and comfortable. There were many private areas to relax under tikki huts. The ocean was a hop and a skip away and there were umbrellas, chairs and bikes for the lending. The manager Steve, and staff were friendly and welcoming. The gourmet vegan breakfast was outstanding created by Angela. In fact I talked about the place and the food so much that 3 of my family members came to share the experience and the breakfast.

Loved the place so much for our 25 th anniversary we came back for my 50 th birthday. This time we brought family and they all loved the place. We enjoyed the breakfasts, it was a new experience to have vegan. It is such a quaint little place everyone made us feel like we were at home. Thanks for the great time. We will definitely be back again.

We've stayed at the Desoto Oceanview Inn before and were so happy to be able to return last December. The Desoto is quiet, well-kept, very clean, and steps away from the beach, which makes it the perfect spot for us. We love having access to the bicycles, which we used every day as well as the grills and garden seating areas complete with Joe, the parrot and his several cockatiel companions. Not to mention you couldn't ask for a better host than Steve! The Desoto is always our first choice when in the Ft. Lauderdale area and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone heading in that direction.

We spent the last week of our 3 week Winter Getaway at the Desoto Oceanview Inn. Our room (E), had all the amenities one could need. The Inn is far enough away from the noise and crowds on the Broadwalk, but close enough to ride bikes to.
Very clean, which is top priority for us when picking a spot. Complimentary bicycles, books to read, BBQ grill, beach chairs and towels and so much more. Beautiful well tended gardens with plenty of seating, tables to eat etc.
Close to the beach and Broadwalk for jogging, biking, and walking. Several good restaurants nearby too.
Our unit had new furnishings and bedding. The cookware, dishes, blender, are top notch as well.
Steve, the manager of the Desoto is so nice and was right there if we had any questions or needed something.
We enjoyed the private and quiet beach just steps away from our room.
We didn't want to leave and are planning our next visit already!

You can tell that the owners really love this place. Just steps away from the beach, a beautiful garden (we had breakfast and lunch on the tables outside everyday), free bicycles and beach chairs, a safe and peaceful neighborhood, clean and comfortable rooms with plenty of towels, kitchen utensils so you can cook your own grub, an ice cream truck that comes by with tasty treats...and really quiet - a great getaway. We will definitely return...
TRIP ADVISOR - August 2012 - Sarah Cox, St. Louis, MO. BEST WEEK EVER! My husband and I spent our honeymoon at The Desoto Oceanview Inn a few weeks ago. It was absolutely perfect!! Steps from a very quiet beach and just minutes from the broadwalk. Our apartment had everything we needed for the week. Forgot something? Not to worry The Desoto probably has it. From beach chairs and umbrellas to sunscreen and aloe gel. They've thought of everything! The complimentary breakfasts were amazing - healthy and delicious. We fell in love with The Desoto and can't wait to get back. Thanks for everything, Steve!
We invite everyone to visit Trip Advisor for more reviews. Thank you.
TRIP ADVISOR - August 2012 - Tania P., Bartlett, IL. My family and I recently stayed at the DeSoto in early August 2012 . There are not enough words to describe how happy we were with our stay here . This B&B is so quaint and charming and the garden really is amazing . My daughter was outside exploring the tropical courtyard for hours. It is a great location being off the beaten path of Ft Lauderdale but yet close enough that you can drive to wherever you want to go . The room was exceptionally clean and functional and we had everything that we needed. Steve, our host is simply amazing, very gracious and pleasant, he really made us feel at home . The beach is less that 10 steps away and private space, and there was a lifeguard which is nice. I would recommend anyone book quickly. You will not be disappointed. Close to the airport, the everglades, miami and then you have a nice quiet place to call home for a few days. Enjoy, our family did immensely!
