Walk the beach to Whaler Village Shopping Mall or drive into Lahaina, turning right on Rt 30. Or turn left & drive thru the W Maui Mountains for a picture postcard view of beautiful Maui. Follow signs to Hana & drive the much acclaimed Road to Hana with bridges, waterfalls, and plenty to do. Or at sunrise be atop Halakala, 10,300 feet above Maui. She is a dormant volcano but life is within her. 213 years ago she erupted & the locals feel she may try again. W Maui Mountains are deceased so they are safe & they also guard you from violent weather.
