We live in a Quiet Secure Neighbourhood located close to Bus Stop and centrally located to easily travel any direction on the Island avoiding the Heavy Traffic Areas.
The house is newly renovated and very clean with spectacular views from our Floor to Ceiling Windows.
We are very selective on who we share our home with.
No Drugs ,Alcohol problems or Partying since we live in a quiet neighbourhood.

We live in a Quiet and Safe Cul de Sac street.
Close to the Pali Highway for easy access to all directions of the island and Lower Traffic Volume than most areas.
5 Minutes from Downtown and Steady flow of Buses nearby if you need to get around the Island.
Most Homes require Air-Conditioning but since we live in a Higher Elevation it is cooler with plenty of sun and tropical sprays of Rain when you most need it.
Plenty of Green vegetation with Trees.
Close to famous Pali Lookout and Nuuanu Country Club.

Oasis off the Pali HWY

Marilyn and Denis have created a beautiful, restful space located off the Pali, about 15 minutes from downtown Honolulu. The location is perfect. 25 minutes to Lanikai beach, 20 minutes from Byodo-In Temple, 20 minutes to Chinatown in Honolulu...the list is endless and the location was perfect. The condo itself has tons of amenities so we weren't wanting for anything. The condo doesn't have air conditioning, which I was worried about at first, but the location and all the windows and sliding glass doors and afternoon rains and tropical breeze made me forget about it. I was never too warm during the day or too cold during the night. Plus with the windows always open, you get to smell the wonderful clean tropical air. This was my first visit to Hawaii and it was really made by the wonderful accommodations, a sense of 'home' even though I was 2800 miles from home. I plan on returning to Oahu within the next year because of how wonderful my first experience was! :)

Great spot for a holiday

We had a great time in Hawaii and it was all the better with the great place we rented from Marilyn and Denis. Great central location by the highway in a quiet neighborhood. Plenty of space for us and 2 teenagers. No a/c but they said we wouldn't need and they were right. Very at home feeling. It's not fancy but who cares when you're a 15 minute drive from Kailau beach! Loved the free long distance calling. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet convenient place to stay.

Great Nu'uanu Views and Location

We rented 5 nights in the spacious and airy second floor flat, accommodating 5 adults and 1 pre-teen. The partly-secluded locale was far enough from the Pali Hwy so we were not bothered by commuter traffic noise. Very convenient for those who desire access to central Oahu. Driving to, and parking at the home is easy. Kitchen was very nicely equipped, bright and roomy. Bedrooms, in back half were dim, but comfortable. The single small bathroom was adequate and laundry access was available. Friendly and gracious hosts, Marilyn and Denis mentioned they were upgrading some areas of the home in summer. Some like a resort atmosphere, but being from Maui it was nice to enjoy more space, comfort and economy than a hotel environment, not to mention a home-cooked meal. There was plenty of space to stretch out with two separate outdoor areas including a balcony and a working gas BBQ. In the morning/evening walks around Old Nu'uanu directly across the road take you through some of the prettiest tropical neighborhoods on Oahu. While staying, it rained nightly due to the proximity to the Pali and the patter from the metal roof harkened back to days of Old Hawaii. A rather steep set of stairs and driveway may make it challenging for those disabled, infirm or elderly. We would rent here again.

Nice place

This was a lovely place to stay while in Honolulu. It took no time at all to get downtown and was easy to get to. A great view from the front deck, and dining area. More amenities than home. Owners were very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Good Business Alternative to Hotels

October 20, 2010

At less than half the cost of traditional hotels in the area (based on government allowed per diem), this home provided me a welcomed relief to the mundane dizziness of a hotel room. For extended business trips, this home was ideal. Comfortable, DirectTV, High-Speed Internet - wired and encrypted wireless (avg DL speed 320+ KB/s), and very responsive hosts should any issues or concerns arise. Location directly up Pali HWY from downtown Honolulu is perfect - and tucked away nicely on the mountainside with fantastic views. This will be my first choice if available for future visits -- both business and vacation, as two bedrooms and plenty of air mattresses provide even more flexibility. Steep stairs to upper-level main entryway could provide a challenge for some. Home is situated directly above the home of the hosts.

We were very pleased with the rental--it was everything as described and better. Wonderful location (out of Waikiki) for access to both side of the island. Clean, spacious, and comfortable. The hosts were so friendly and helpful we even invited them to join us on one of our trips to a Hawaiian music show (Keawe O'Hana) (we love old style hawaiian music)

Cool, Spacious, Good Value

Our family's two-week stay here during my husband's job assignment was great. He had a very convenient commute to work on a nearby military post. We were glad to away from the noisy hustle and bustle of Waikiki. We enjoyed the cool mountain breezes, the beautiful lush, green views, and the sound of the evening rains on the metal roof. We have been to Oahu for the past five years, and we really appreciated the convenience of this location to all points on the island. The owners are nice and accommodating. They are continuing to update and put finishing touches on the space. This was a great value (two good-sized bedrooms, large open living area, with two smaller side rooms, full kitchen, laundry, lanai, and small patio. There are stairs up to and within the home. We would definitely stay again.
