Description of the Hot Springs vacation cabin rental

The Limestone cabin is the perfect mountain getaway! The Limestone cabin is great for honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays and more! It is located approximately 5 minutes from Hot Springs, NC. The cabin itself is over a hundred years old! We carefully dismantled it piece by piece and relocated it to the banks of the French Broad river. The cabin comes with a fully equipped kitchen, gas and charcoal grill, so there is no need to eat out! It also features a private hot tub on the back porch with privacy blinds. The cabin sleeps a maximum of four people. A queen size bed located upstairs and sofa bed downstairs. While your stay at the Limestone cabin you can enjoy countless activities nearby and on-site! Things to do include: on-site fishing, biking, hiking, exploring the land surrounding the cabin, white water rafting, horseback riding and of course the famous Hot Springs Spas. Also, if you feel the need to do some light traveling during your stay you can venture to Asheville, NC-home to the Biltmore House and many, many more attractions.

Area Information

The cabin is located in Hot Springs, NC just beside the French Broad River. The area is great for all types of outdoor recreational activities such as rafting, fishing and much more. It is just 5 to 20 minutes away from the Appalachian trail or if you can travel to Asheville, NC which is about 45 minutes away.

Great cabin!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Limestone Cabin. Its remote setting was perfect- far away from anyone else, but still relatively close to Hot Springs and even accessible by foot via the train tracks. Cabin amenities include hot tub, TV with lots of stations, fireplace and a well stocked kitchen. No wifi. Mr. Finley is great to work with and the cabin is very reasonably priced for what you get. Hot Springs is a lovely vacation town and a perfect place to get away for a weekend.

The Limestone Cabin

This is a beautiful log cabin with all the comforts of home. The house was clean and had everything we needed. When we arrived I was concerned about how close this is to the railroad tracks that run in front of the cabin, but it turned out to not be an issue unless your hanging out on the front porch. The hot tub on the back porch was fantastic. The setting feels secluded but is only a few minutes from the town of Hot Springs and is perfect for any couple seeking some alone time.

Remote Kickback

A very nice remote experience with the mountain railroad at the front door...don't see (and hear) trains like that anymore and it added much to the experience. Due to the access condition this is NOT a good motorcycle destination except for Adventure bikes. View of the mountains and French Broad River are very nice. If you want to kick back and don't need a lot of extras or asphalt drive this could be the place.

"Just Precious"

The Limestone Cabin was precious! I kinda began to wonder as we traveled the path to get to it, but I was not disappointed. The cabin is so cute. The look and feel of a cozy "ole" place but with everything you need. Mr. Finley has thought of everything! We had one small issue, called him, and he assisted us right away. The issue, by the way, was "user error." :-) The nostalgia of the cabin and the train passing by was great. We were concerned about the train but it adds to the experience. I would recommend it to anyone and hopefully will get to go back again sometime!
