Aroostook County Lake Front Cabin (#19646)

Write a review My husband and I have been going to Maine for many years now.This year we were spending time visiting family. Bob, who is originally from Houlton, and I wanted to spend a week in the area of Houlton, but our choices were limited. I did so surfing the internet. and found this cabin on Lake Conroy. We were not familiar with this lake, but figured we would try it. We now wished we had stayed the whole week. I do not think I have ever been so relaxed, and the place had everything you could want and more.We were so pleased with everything, and the lake was so mesmerizing.We are already planning our trip for next year, and hope to spend the whole week here next time. We just returned home 2 days ago from our long weekend at the cottage. The Fall is a beautiful time to visit! My husband and I were very impressed with the cottage and all of its amenities. We were amazed at how well-stocked the place was. We did not even need to bring half the stuff we did! Cari and Jon have clearly put a lot of thought into the place. Cari and Jon were very friendly and helpful, and we feel fortunate to have met them. Our dog also had a blast running through the pines! We look forward to returning again next year. We are deeply grateful to Carrie and John for making our vacation a wonderful experience. The cabin was absolutely beautiful in every way. It was very clean and stocked with absolutely everything necessary to make our week there a dream come true. My family and I came out from Rural Southern Oregon and found the most perfect vacation retreat. We cannot express enough our appreciation for the hospitality and the wonderful setting for our summer vacation. Loons, Canoeing, fishing, firefly's, campfires, wisps of fog on the water early in the morn.... PARADISE! For anyone desiring a truly Maine experience, you cannot go wrong here. Fully furnished, full amenities and a truly full experience. whether you are single, a couple or have children, this is a one-fit for all. We spent 12 days and absolutely hated to leave. This truly fits the motto of Maine - "The way life should be"!!! I loved my cabin in the woods for the weekend, we really let go, and enjoyed ourselves. I can't believe how much snow you have up there! I enjoyed watching the deer on the lake, and so did our labrador! Thanks so much, and god bless! We had a fantastic time staying at the cabin! The Drews are excellent hosts and ensure that every detail is thought of. When Cari said all we needed to bring was food and clothes, she wasn't kidding! There was more than enough room for the five of us and those who tried it loved the whirlpool tub. We will definitely make plans to be back! Just wanted to say what a great stay we had at the cabin. It was absolutely perfect in every way and we will certainly be back next year and be recommending it to family and friends. The location is stunning and the actual cabin has everything you could ever need. Carri and John were extremely friendly and helpful - we wished we could have stayed longer. Anyone thinking of visiting this area - you wont get anywhere better to stay than this - highly recommended! Joanna and Carlton Hi Cari & John, We had a wonderful stay at the house! There are a lot of wonderful places in this world but what makes them special are the people you meet there . Carrie and Jon are very wonderful people . They made the stay memorable ! The cabin is FABULOUS and every detail has been thought of . We will be back . We made new friends there , Thanks Carrie and Jon. Joe I just want to say that John & Cari are awesome!! Very friendly and personable people. The "little things" that they thought of totally impressed me. They will be the first people I call to reserve a place to stay my next time in Maine. The camp was beautiful, quiet, but close to town. Everything we needed was already in the camp, we just need to buy groceries. John & Cari, thank you for a wonderful experience!!! We'll be back!
