Description of the Hudson vacation home rental

Enjoy the NATURAL WONDERS OF NATURE from this beach house located on a peninsula jutting out into the Gulf of Mexico. The Back Yard extends across open water to an uninhabited island and estuary that is part of a large seabird sanctuary preserve. The feathered neighbors include Birds of Prey - Bald and Osprey Eagles; Waterbirds - Cormorants and Pelicans; Wading Birds - Herons, Egrets, Spoonbills and Ibises; Shorebirds - Gulls,Sandpipers, Avocets. Dolphins and Manatees are frequent visitors around the Fishing/Boat Dock. A Kayak is provided for exploring and fishing in this special place. (Boat and jet-ski rentals are available at near-by marinas.)

The home is a modern version of a Florida Cracker style house designed for optimum Views and Access to the Outdoors. All rooms are Gulf-Front. There is a covered Patio with a country swing at the rear of the First Floor Living Room and a Sun Deck off the Second Floor Kitchen/Dining area and the Guest Bedroom. The Master Bedroom on the Third Floor has large picture windows providing extended views of the Gulf and the Shore-line to the fishing village of Aripeka. As you look out over this Panorama of Nature, it is easy to forget that you are "in town."

Comforts of home are provided - a modern Kitchen, full Laundry, accessible Bathrooms, a TEMPUR-pedic bed in the Master Bedroom, LCD-TV-Cable, DVD Player, and Stereo System with remote speakers on the 1st and 2nd Floors along with all start-up necessaries. "Just bring your personal items and make yourself at home."

Area Information

Driftwood Isles is a great location - it provides a natural water-front setting AND convenient access to Hudson Shopping, Restaurants, Parks, Boating, Fishing, Golfing, Public Library, the Regional Medical Center, Music and Theater venues. (The Show Palace Dinner Theater produces Off-Broadway quality shows with Equity Actors.)

The Tampa/St. Petersburg Region has many major attractions such as: award winning Beaches, interesting small town Main Streets, Professional and Collegiate Sports, Art & History Museums, Aquariums, Performing Arts Centers, the Seminoles' Casino, Busch Gardens and the Tampa International Airport. All are within a reasonable drive of an hour +/-.

Winter is the "High Season" for Florida and there are many festivals and special events scheduled with something for everyone.

We stayed for 3 months and everything was as described and then some. The view from each floor was beautiful. We had visits from dolphins daily and the sea birds were our constant companions. Johnny's home was well equipped with everything we needed. The neighbors were very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a quiet vacation surrounded by nature, this is the place!
