Description of the Humarock vacation home rental

Your stay will include access to private Humarock Beach on Cape Cod
Bay. You'll enjoy 5-minute walks along the ocean to quaint Humarock
village with award winning restaurants, waterfront dining with live
evening entertainment and dancing, ice cream, coffee & breakfast
shops,fisherman's fresh fish and seafood market, artists, and
souvenir shops plus fun-filled, family-friendly community events.
Available on a weekly basis or longer: July, August
Convenient to Cape Cod, historical Plymouth and Boston. Downtown
Scituate harbor is only a short car ride. Drive twenty+ minutes
north or south to catch a ferry for a day of touring Cape Cod's
Provincetown, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket or Boston or to commute
to/from Logan Airport. There is FREE all day parking at the ferry to
Boston. The train is nearby as well as a small airport in
Marshfield.

Humarock has been said to have some of the best panoramic water
views
and best weather on the South Shore because of the picturesque, bay-
like South river as well as the ocean surround it. Humarock is
surrounded by water on three sides with conservation land connecting
it to land. Humarock has an island feel because access is by bridge
or boat. Walk, bicycle, roller blade, canoe, kayak, sail and/or
motorboat to conservation land on both north or south ends of
Humarock. Easy access to exclusive ocean beaches and miles of hiking
and biking. One minute to public boat dock and a boat ramp to put
smaller boats in/out of water.

We absolutely loved the vacation! The home is decorated in a charming sea-scape setting with lighthouses and shells; fans left the house cool; house was exceptionally clean. Outside shower was extremely handy, grill was perfect, table and chairs made it enjoyable to sit and relax. Plenty of sand toys were also available to bring to the beach (one less thing to pack!!) We were at the beach everyday – quick walk in the case you forgot something. A bit rocky at high-tide, but we would time our visits (Weather Channel lists high/low tides). The private beach was perfect for a family outing – complete with bonfire and ‘smores. Great for all ages: building in the sand kept the young ones busy; boogy-boarding kept the pre-teens occupied; local ice cream shop was perfect distance for teens to walk to; local restaurants were a 10 minutes walk for all (or just the adults!) to enjoy a sunset. Would recommend and hope to return next summer!

This place was great, clean and plenty of room downstairs. Bedrooms on the small side but comfortable. Nice breeze at night with the sound of waves to lull you to sleep. Description exact. Sunsets awesome and sunrise if you can get up that early, perfect. Beautiful beach to walk with no crowds. Would recommend to others and would love to go back again.

We rented this beautiful house by the beach on a last minute whim and were pleasantly surprised. This house has the comfort and cleanliness yet still "cottage quaint" feel of the perfect home away from home vacation spot. Plenty of room for everyone...even a crib for my 2 year old and a great location! All in all, it was a perfect week! We are definitely interested in renting next year!

 

 OUR HUMAROCK EXPERIENCE, September 4, 2008

a very accurate description of the beautiful property. the beach has rather more stones than in the picture but the sunset was as good. there is one bathroom and an outdoor shower which is challenging for 5 adults on occasions. all facilities were good and the kitchen in particular was very well equipped. the fourth bedroom off the master bedroom is only suitable for a baaby so two of our daughters shared- no tragedy. the area is great and certainly a car is required but there is so much to do and see. it is very quiet which we loved and one night we had a bar b q with some friends and clearly made the most noise the place had ever heard. very good for a family holiday and a very fair description. house is charmingly decorated and we would be happy to return.
