Description of the Hunter Mountain vacation chalet rental

Super immaculate, upscale cabin ensures a special and memorable experience.

Tri-Level Log Chalet totaling over 2,000 square feet includes three(3)bedrooms each with a queen bed, loft with two (2) twins, one (1) full size sleeper sofa, 3 baths each with a shower, sleeps up to 10 comfortably.

The Grand Room with an open floor plan, includes living room with L shaped leather couch and woodstove, dining room with 7' dining table, kitchen with island. Great for socializing!

Floor to ceiling windows and two sets of double French doors offer spectacular panoramic mountain views. You’ll feel completely surrounded by nature, but in total warmth and cozy comfort.

The kitchen is great for gourmet cooks. Fully equipped beyond belief (stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, crock pot/slow cooker, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, pots/pans, dishes, baking sheets, lasagna pan, glass/stemware, utensils) and please help yourself to our full array of complimentary spices, coffee filters, napkins, etc.

On this floor is a luxurious marble tiled bathroom including full tub and shower and plenty of plush towels.

Two beautifully appointed bedrooms each with a queen bed. One bedroom has its own private entrance that leads out to the back deck that wraps around three (3) sides of the cabin.

This entire floor is surrounded by a huge 3/4 wrap around deck totaling 800+ sq. ft. Great for entertaining and dining alfresco!

The Master Suite has cathedral ceilings, a double french door that leads out to it’s own private balcony/deck. Also includes a private bathroom including shower.

The Loft includes two (2) twin beds and seating area.

The entry level/billiard room is fully furnished and includes a pool table, three (3) couches, beautifully marble tiled bathroom with shower, washer/dryer.
Plus plenty of board games are provided (Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Backgammon, Chess, playing cards).

Plenty of parking is located in front of the cabin and right outside the front door.

Need to stay connected? There is cable TV (100 channels), DVD/Tape player, Sirius Satellite Radio and WIFI.

Area Description

This beautiful, secluded, log cabin Chalet situated on a cul de sac on 4+ wooded acres bordering the Catskill State Forest Preserve takes you away from it all...but just minutes from all the action!

Located in Haines Falls, New York right off Route 23A (2 miles to Tannersville and North Lake/South Lake, 5 miles to Hunter, 12 Windham, 18 Woodstock).

There is something for everyone to do!

Winter time...some of New York finest downhill skiing/snowboarding (and snow tubing) is just seven minutes down the road. You can literally walk to Sunset Park and sled or go a little further and rent snowmobiles! There is also a cross country skiing resort just five minutes away.

Spring/Summer/Fall...hike literally right from the front door. North Lake/South Lake is just five minutes away which offers swimming, canoeing, and hiking (incredible vistas viewed from the Escarpment Trial), Kaaterskill Falls, mountain biking, sky ride, golf courses, driving range/miniature golf, horse back riding, fly fishing, tubing on the Escopus River, paint ball, wineries, festivals, Catskill Game Farm, Howe Caverns and more...

Antique and art lovers will find treasures galore with Woodstock, Saugerties, Tannersville, Catskill (Thomas Cole House) and Hudson all within close proximity.

Or if you want to just relax, you can curl up with a good book and enjoy breathtaking mountain views while by the fire. There is also cable TV (100 channels), DVD/Tape player, DVD Movie Collection, Sirius Satellite Radio, WI-FI, pool table, plenty of board games, to keep you occupied.

If you are looking for excitement, there is a terrific nightlife and fantastic dining right near by. In fact some of my favorite restaurants are just five minutes from the cabin.

Our first time in the Catskills, August 21, 2009

My husband and I had a wonderful time with our friends at the cabin. We see why this is called God's country. I love the fact that it wasn't too far a drive from our home. The view from every side of the house was spectacular. It was convenient to any of the activities we wanted to do. The accomodations lent itself to many great time for great dinners conversation, games and laughter. I am hoping we can do this in the future again.

This beautiful chalet was everything it was described as being but what a wonderful surprise to find it was also incredibly clean! The owners really know how to spoil renters with every amenity generously supplied and every decorative detail an appeal to the senses. Beautiful rooms, well decorated and spacious. I whole-heartedly recommend this beautiful cabin!

The house was exactly as described. All the things you'd need for great getaway to the catskills were already provided. The house is perfectly situated near all the attractions you could possibly want, ranging from kayaking, horseback riding, hiking, or tubing. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and was very efficient with the whole renting process. I'd recommend this property to anyone who wants to get away for a weekend (or more) to a beautiful house in the catskills.

Pictures on the website accurately represent the Vacation Home. Nice private location. Very clean, appliances all work fine, pool table in excellent condition. Plenty of room to relax in. Owner was very responsive with regard to booking and any questions we had!

Cosy Cabin out in the woods, July 14, 2009

The cabin with its terrasse is just awesome for having a cosy weekend out in the woods a little bit seperated from other houses in the surrounding area. You will find everything you need inside and the pool table at the ground floor is pretty fun though. The cabin is located in the middle of a beautiful area where you find plenty of possibilities to do some outdoor activity within a few minutes from the cabin. We liked the kayaking on the South Lake and downhill mountain biking at Hunter Mountain. The service JoAnn (the owner) provided was very gentle and the booking process was pretty easy. Also at the cabin everything worked out well and it was a pretty easy handling in regards to what to do when leaving the cabin at the end of the stay. It definitely was a positive experience from A to Z and I personnaly recommend a stay at the cabin.
