Beautiful vacation site, September 23, 2009

We enjoyed our stay - what a beautiful well-kept lodge. There were 3 couples that stayed and we each had our own floor and were able to share the living and dining areas; never felt crowded. Nice to have so many accomodations provided. Great view from both inside and outside; what wonderful country to take in!

We've just returned from a wonderful week at the Vonseda Island Lake Lodge. The online pictures do not do the lodge justice. We were so pleased with the lodge itself and the outdoor area. Everything was so clean and family oriented. There was so much room. We especially enjoyed the large family room with adjoining kitchen. The view and wild life kept us all in awe. The kids enjoyed the paddle boats and canoe. One little grandaughter stated this vacation was more fun than Disney World. The whole family was pleased with the lodge and we thank Krista and Dirk for a great vacation. The Wagner Family

The log cabin and the grounds are absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed swimming in the lake with the kids and the guys did a lot of fishing. There is an eagles nest on an island near by that was unbelievable. We also had a few painted turtles come up on the lawn during the week and lay their eggs. We'd never seen anything like it. Thank you so much for the great time!

VonSeda's Island Lake Lodge is BEAUTIFUL! It is clean, big and everything you'd want in an upnorth cabin. The lake is wonderful - great for swimming and fishing. It's quiet, private and peaceful. We enjoyed it very much and would highly recommend it to anyone!

I hesitate to share my experience for fear that others will find out what a great place this is. The home is beautiful with plenty of room for our group of 10. It is definitely off the beaten path with a 30 minute ride from the highway on gravel roads, but the beautiful sunrises and sunsets along with the peace and quiet make the ride well worth it. All the folks on the lake are wonderful and eager to help with recomending a restaurant or the best bait to use. Just down the road is a great little roadhouse, Bear Chasers. They have great food and drinks. You can get just about anything there. You can gas up; have lunch; grab some bait and some ice for your cooler. Even if the weather isn't cooperating, the cabin has a pool table, pub darts and plenty of room to spread out. The owners have thought of everything. If you forgot it; they probably have an extra one in the cabin. We had a great time fishing and relaxing but don't tell anybody!

This home is located on a beautiful lake in a quiet wooded setting. There were 8 adults (4 couples) and plenty of room for all. We were in the area on an ATV trip, and the house is located just off a trail, no need for auto travel. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have rented the property for next year and added days to our stay. We highly recommend this vacation home to anyone who wants a quiet escape. Fishing, boating, ATV riding, or just kicking back, this is the place.
