July R&R Alone
August 5, 2011
The cottage was comfortable and clean and well-stocked with kitchen equipment, linens, towels and games. It was great having a gas grill to cook with. I have rented five other cottages in the past several years, and this is by far the best one I have rented. It was wonderful being so close to the beach and so close to town. It was fun being able to walk everywhere and not depend on a car since I am a power walker. The peace and tranquility nurtured my soul and calmed me down. The hospitality from Cindy, the owner, was wonderful. I want to return next summer!!!
Life near Lake Erie
July 9, 2011
The home was set near a playground and about 1/4 mile from Lake Erie beach. The owners were very efficient, helpful, and friendly. The home was neatly kept, clean, and spacious for five of us.

Really enjoyed our stay - especially the short distance from the beach! Less than 2 minutes to the lake and a clean, sandy beach. The rental was spacious and clean, though a little out-dated. Could use more AC units for those really hot days - we weren't able to use the dining area because it was too hot.....altho' it was in the 90's while we were there, which is unusual for this area. The kitchen needs more basic utensils such as serving and wooden spoons, chef's knives and a chopping board, plus glassware for the oven so you can make better use of the self-catering aspect of this rental. Also - there were 3 TV's but no cable and the one DVD player was poor quality; really need basic cable in there. It would be nice to have some tourist info/brochures in the place too...... Overall it was a great stay and I would definitely return there and recommend it to other vacationers.
Owner Supplied Testimonials
There is six homes that are summer rentals out of the seventy allotment homes. Type in Mitiwanga also. This year all is nearly booked up. The summer prices of the homes are twenty five hundred, two thousand, fourteen, and eight hundred dollars weekly. I have just opened mine up due to remodeling.
