Only 30 min from DENVER! The cabin is only 5 blocks to National Historic District of Idaho Springs with great shopping, dining and sightseeing.

Visit Historic Argo GOLD MINE & Mill, take "All Aboard!" Journey back in time with a ride on one of Colorado's great narrow gauge railroads. Come and be astounded by the Devil's Gate High Bridge, the beautiful Rocky Mountain views and the engineering marvel that is the Georgetown Loop!

The MT EVANS SCENIC BYWAY is America's highest paved automobile road and offers many outdoor activities from sight seeing and bicycling to hiking and fishing. Mount Evans is the road into the sky. Drive from 8700 feet at Idaho Spring where you turn of Interstate 70 to 14,240 feet to the summit and you will pass through three life zones, passing ancient trees, lakes and forest to the land above timberline. It can be 90 degrees in Denver and 40 degrees at the top of Mount Evans. Mountain Goats and Bighorn Sheep will great you as you climb to the top of the world.

Take a tour of our local MICROBREWERY (Tommy Knocker Mountain Brewery and Pub) to learn how small batches of specialty beers are crafted. Ask your server to explain the legend of the tommyknocker and how these spirits were active in Clear Creek's gold mining history.

Find a lot of visitor's information at the cabin. The cabin has 2 private bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room with a fireplace, a full kitchen and a large deck with mountain views. We are kid friendly and have toys, books, games and movies for kids. High chair and a pack-n-play is available upon request.

The property is located right in the very heart of Front Range Area with all of the attractions surrounding it. Most are 3-15 minutes away: Historic Georgetown and Silver Plume, historic Central City and Black Hawk are all around it.

The Mt. Evans cabin was very clean , comfortable and so darling. We, four adults had plenty of room and we loved being so close to town that you could walk in 5 minutes. We also enjoyed the wild life - mountain goat family and the fox at night. It was also very nice to have the use of a washer & dryer. I would definately rent it again.

Perfect for skiing Winter Park

We are a young couple that took a short vacation to CO for some skiing and stayed in the Mt. Evans cabin. Great location on a quiet street. Cabin was roomy and warm with convenient off street parking, was stocked with dishes, coffee grinder, etc. and brochures about local attractions (check out Indian Hot Springs!). Less than an hour drive to Winter Park even in rush hour traffic. Great property managers to work with. We highly recommend!

Idaho Springs is an awesome town and the cabin was perfect! It was easy to find, had nice off-street parking, friendly neighbors and was super-cozy. The deck out back was great for the dog to hang out on, and for us humans to enjoy a cup of coffee while watching the wildlife only a few feet away! The owners were great to rent from and made us feel right at home at the cabin! We definitely recommend it highly!!

The cabin is a clean, cozy, well appointed 2 bedroom getaway in historic Idaho Springs. It is a great base to get out and see the Colorado Rockies without the heat, noise and sprawl of Denver. (or the traffic). Everyone in town was extremely friendly. The cabin has all the amenities, but with none of the pretentiousness or plastic facade of the "big name" ski towns.

A:Several ski areas are within easy drive of the cabin. Idaho Springs is only a few steps away, with ample shopping and restaurants. Denver International Airport is only 1 hour away!

Q:What makes your vacation rental special?

A:Besides the easy access to several ski resorts within 25 - 40 minutes away the house is 30 minutes from downtown Denver, where you can enjoy all the amenities of a large city, including four major league sports, museums, fine dining, theater, and a variety of entertainment venues. Yet you are also within 5-15 minutes of three small mountain communities - Georgetown with its Georgetown Loop Scenic Railroad tour, Idaho Springs with its hot springs resort, and Empire where you'll enjoy the Peck House Hotel and Restaurant, established in 1862. Skiing is within easy access. Loveland, on the Continental Divide is a half hour drive. Winter Park, a premier ski resort and town, offers outdoor activities year round.
