Description of the Idleyld Park vacation cottage rental

River Vista is located on a secluded street. The three cottages are tucked into the trees, and clings to the bank of the North Umpqua River. They are 1100 square foot with large picture windows and decks that face the river's specticular view. River Vista is the perfect spot to relax and watch the river glide by. The home features an open floor plan and high valuted ceiling and has been recently updated.

Nestled in an old growth forest, where bald eagles are daily vistors, River Vista is truly a relaxing vacation experience away from day to day life. A private pathway to the North Umpqua River ends at a year-round fishing and swimming hole. It is not unusual to see flying squirrels, water fowl, steelhead, and the playful otter family. Field and Stream did an artical(Jan07)that says"the North Umpqua river is flowing water turned to fine art; it's that pretty." Our small town and surrounding area have lots to offer the travler. We are located 20 miles off I-5, on Highway 138 East, called the Rouge Umpqua Scenic Byway,and also known as the "Highway to Waterfalls." We are a short drive, only 72 miles west of one of the wonders of the world, Crater Lake National Park and only 80 miles east of the Pacific Ocean. There is North Umpqua Hot Springs, whitewater rafting, and the 95 miles of the famous North Umpqua Trail for hiking and biking. There are nice Diners and Restaurants in the area as well as a well equipped small country store/liqour store for your shopping needs.

We had a wonderful time getting together with all of our children and grandchildren for a few days of relaxation. This house was great and we enjoyed the experience very much! It was adventurous yet safe for our youngest grandson-the porch was enclosed with glass the house was comfortable and clean and close to Crater Lake, which we did visit and experienced sunshine, rain and lots of snow, too!:-) highly recommend this house.

The home we stayed in was very nice and quite comfortable. The decor was well done and it provided us with everything we had need of. The owner was gracious and quite accommodating but the thing that really made this place special was the spectacular setting. The view was Awesome.

This vacation house has the most beautiful view! The house is best suited for 1 couple because the second bedroom is in a loft with no privacy. It was pet-friendly, which we really appreciate! I thought the price was reasonable.

What an awesome place to unwind. The view on the deck is worth the weekly fee. Imagine drinking your morning coffee on a deck that overlooks a wall of beautiful pines, ferns, other plants of each green imaginable, and watch a family of mallard ducks, Canadian geese, or river otters play across the river. Later in the day watch the fish lazily swim over the submerged rocks. If you like to keep busy, we planned a different activity each day of the week for our kids. We could have stayed another week just so they could see a small part of what the area has to see. We have stayed at various places on the Rogue and Deschutes and this has been the prettiest place we have stayed at so far. The path to the river is not for the disabled, but the view is spectacular!
