The farmhouse has an old fashioned charm with lots of amenities for those who really don't care to rough it. Indoors, is a kitchen, dining room, living room, full bath with shower and a another 1/2 bath on the second floor, 4 bedrooms and a futon couch in the living room to sleep a total of 10.. The farmhouse has central air conditioning and oil heat in the winter. We maintain our hot tubs year round so they are ready for that late night soak before climbing into a comfortable queen size bed. There's an outdoor fire pit perfect for marshmallow cooking. Lots of wildlife at the farmhouse including rabbits, birds, deer, turkey and a few others. The farmhouse is tastefully decorated and furnished. When checking out our link, take a look at our rustic cabin located on the same property. Area Information
Hike the woods, cross the open fields and climb the hillsides for a view that spans more than 25 miles. The sunsets are beautiful and are best viewed from the hill top behind the house where the view spans more than 25 miles. And with all the wide open space, its easy to see the stars at night. No tall buildings to hide the night sky. Cook outs abound here. We have state park style charcoal grills at each of our homes and a fire pit with a supply of wood for your late night cooking pleasure, even if its just a s'more you are hoping for, and each home has its own outdoor hot tub so there's no need to share. Chasing fireflies in summer; hike in the woods or cross-country ski right out the backdoor onto rolling meadows; watch stars dance in the vast night sky; and make new friends…all right here.
There is great trout fishing just five minutes from Hideaway Hollow in Bob's Creek, and Blue Knob State Park is only 10 minutes away where the swimming is as refreshing in cold mountain water as it could be. The Covered Bridge Tour begins just 5 minutes away and all around are great routes for bicycling and walking. We have an 18 hole golf course in Imler and another at Blue Knob. For indoor fun, there is bowling, movies, roller skating, antiquing, live theater, wine tasting, and Old Bedford Village.
Blue Knob All Season's Resort is the place that serious skiers go and claims its fame as the highest ski-able mountain in Pennsylvania. Mountain biking is very popular at Blue Knob and hosts some of the routes for the Tour DeToona cycling race every year. Don't forget our Fall Foliage Festival the first two weekends in October which draws crowds of more than 30,000 people to Bedford every year. No matter what the season, we have something for everyone. Come and experience relaxation in any way that you want!

Highly recommended

Our stay was great. The location is fantastic - a true hideaway, yet, it was convenient to the slopes. Very comfortable, clean, and accommodating. The owners are marvelous.

Owner's reply:

Thank you Vicky. Blue Knob is within view of the farmhouse and a quick drive up the mountain side. The best part is relaxing afterward with a cozy outdoor fire and a welcoming hot tub!

So charming and relaxing!

January 25, 2015

I stayed at the farmhouse for a ladies weekend and it couldn't have been more perfect! The owners were so friendly and helpful. Some of my friends couldn't get their car up the driveway to the house, so the owners picked them up and drove them and all of their things (including a naked Justin Bieber blow up doll) to the house! They greeted us warmly just after we arrived and were easily reached throughout the weekend! We would definitely come to Hideaway Hollow again! It was a relaxing and fun weekend!

Owner's reply:

One of the true pleasures of living close to the homes that we offer at Hideaway Hollow is that we often get to meet the guests who pick our homes for their weekend get-away. We have met some truly wonderful people over the years and it is always a pleasure to help out when we can. Thank you again to our cabin guest, Chris, who used his 4-wheel drive as well to get the girls all settled in.

Wonderful Cabin Get-away

October 27, 2014

I rented the cabin for a bachelorette cabin get-a-way! We had 7 guest total and had plenty of room for everyone! We loved the views and being away from everything. It was everything the Bride-to-be had envisioned and more for a relaxing bachelorette trip. Everything was clean and very well cared for! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a escape from the hustle & bustle of life!

Patty Poetlajoie

Owner's reply:

Our home is the perfect destination for small gatherings. We have enjoyed the opportunity to open our farmhouse/cabin for bachelorette get-aways, family reunions, honeymoons, birthday celebrations and quiet, romantic anniversary weekends.
Since we live in the general area of Hideaway Hollow, Wayne and I are available to oversee the care of our homes and we take great consideration to make sure that we stay on top of maintenance indoors and outdoors.
Thank you for coming,
Patty and Wayne

Owner Supplied Testimonials

Hideaway Hollow has been a dream that belongs to both my husband and myself. Raised on the property, I grew up appreciating the simpler life we live here. Surrounded by acres of open fields and woodland, it was where I hiked with my collie as a child and today, I walk my retriever on these same 75 acres. We fondly welcome our children home to enjoy the land with us, to let their children and their pets be part of this spacious, beautiful landscape that has lovingly been in our family for 3 generations. My husband Wayne, sees the farm from a New Englander's eyes and holds a different appreciation for it than I do. Living here since I was 10 years old, it is simply home, full of loving memories and for Wayne, he loves the view, the surrounding mountains and the absolute peace that he never knew living in the center of Massachusetts. Hideaway Hollow is where we call home and it is this treasure we are excited to share with you, our guests.
