Description of the Indian Rocks Beach vacation condo rental

"Old Florida” is the term used to describe a slow paced, no high rise, community approach to natural resources. Our 8 unit building is a fine example of 50’s FL, that retains it convenience and charm along with comfortable up dates.Walk out the door onto the beach. You will not have to deal with elevators and parking garages. You may meet your neighbors and maybe make new friends or enjoy the solitude of a private spot.

Area Information

Sand at door. My one bedroom condo is ground level on the sand in Indian Rocks Beach. IRB is located on the 20 mile long barrier island that runs Tampa airport and 17 miles from the Clearwater/St. Pete airport.

The small barrier island community of Indian Rocks Beach is close, enough to the metropolitan centers of Tampa and Clearwater to serve as a “base of operations” for your Florida vacation experience, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city to provide a unique, rural allure. Guests of "Shack on the Sand" in Indian Rocks Beach are privy to beautiful beaches, outstanding restaurants, and breathtaking scenery. The white, sandy beaches are great places to swim, surf, and snorkel, while shoppers and diners will not be disappointed by the offerings of Indian Rocks Beach.

A brief drive away from Indian Rocks Beach brings tourists to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Clearwater Beach, and Tampa International Airport. Slightly further away, guests of Indian Rocks Beach vacation cabins and homes can visit Disney World, Sea World, or the Epcot Center. There are arts and crafts gatherings that this town hosts annually, and there are nearly two dozen20golf courses in the surrounding area. Caladesi Island State Park and Honeymoon Island State Park are about fifteen minutes away from Indian Rocks Beach, and several museums are located in nearby St. Petersburg and Tampa.

Owner's reply:

Thank you Paul. I'm wondering if you were reviewing our entire building or my unit # 3. There are 4 different owners renting in our 8 unit building. My unit is on the front, ground level, on the north end of the building (the left when viewed from the beach) it has windows the length of the unit for natural light all day long. I use the unit also so it has any little thing that a guest might need. The joke is "if it isn't there, you don't need it."

What a find this little "shack" turned out to be. A real super location just steps from the beach and lots of natural light with great ocean views. Fully equipped with fresh renovations and paint throughout, No elevators or stairs to worry about as all is on ground level . The landlord was so special would highly recommend this location for a couples romantic laidback get away

I have been to this condo three times. It is a cozy, comfortable place that suits my needs, exactly. I was able
to find the peace and quiet I needed. No stress, no demands. I also liked very much, the fact that I felt safe
there. I could even leave the patio doors open, after dark, without any worries. I love finding the new things
that Ann puts in every year. She changes the decor, so I always know there will be something exciting
awaiting me. The trolley stops outside the door (street side), so shopping is made extremely easy, if you can
pull yourself away from the beach. I highly recommend the Shack on the Sand.
