Write a review My husband and I had a fabulous stay at Mary Ellen's Condo. We arrived in the evening to have a pleasant surprise with the lights on for us, the ceiling fans and soft music playing, very nice personal touch. Very well cared for Unit and Intercoastal frontage, what more can you ask for! Great location to most anything you could want and easy beach access, very clearly marked with pavers across Gulf Blvd. We had a great stay and love the area. Do yourself a favor and book your stay with Mary Ellen. Opening the front door to Mary Ellen's condo was like walking into a vacation villa in Disney. The smell of the condo smelled like vacation land. The unit is decorated so tastefully and colorfull you would think you are in a model home. As soon as you unpack you feel as though you have been living there for ever. I sat down on the couch and all my troubles and stress just disapeared. The condo is fully stocked with nothing left to chance. The shower, with its duel shower heads was just wonderful. The unit is beyond clean and cheerful. Having stayed in the best hotels in the area, I would have to say Mary Ellen's is just the best! I would also have to say that Mary Ellen is also the best! We have just returned from a wonderful week at Mary Ellen's condo. The condo had all we needed for a week in Florida, will pack less next time! We arrived really late after flight delays and really appreciated Mary Ellen's hospitality. The condo is in a great position in the Barefoot Beach resort, the dolphins visited daily and a great wee cheeky short cut to Salt Rock steps away from the condo. Thanks again Mary Ellen - hope to stay with you again. My husband and I have returned from a wonderful 10 days at Mary Ellen's condo - the condo was spotless and Mary Ellen was there to meet us when we arrived. We loved sitting out every morning on the patio having breakfast and reading the news paper and what a surprise to see the dolphins. It was so peaceful. The condo has absolutely everything you would want - beach towels, coolers, noodles, beach toys, etc. and all you need is your bathing suit and a toothbrush. Just across the road is the beautiful beach where we sat each night to watch the sunset. Great restaurants - especially Guppy's - our favorite - and Mary Ellen has a book with all information in the area. You will never go wrong staying here. We loved it and will definitely be back. We are just back from one of the best family vacations ever! My parents were lucky enough to have stayed in Mary Ellen's amazing condo! The pictures you see on the site are right on, everything is pristine! We came over from our condo to gather for family meals on the patio overlooking the intracoastal while watching dolphins, shore birds and boaters pass by. The condo is immaculate and is equipped with everything you need to make your vacation complete - pool toys, beach chairs/towels, etc. Mary Ellen goes above and beyond to make sure your vacation time is a pleasure, complete with a guide containing area information. Further, the resort has an A+ pool area and is just across the street from the beach where we swam with a manatee! If you're lucky enough to find the condo available, don't hesitate, book now before we beat you to it! Thank you again, Mary Ellen! My husband & I stayed at Mary Ellen's condo as a last vacation before we have our first child this August. We had such an amazing time-the condo is just as beautiful/clean as the photos and the location is perfect! The pool area was very tidy & not crowded at all-even on the hottest of days. The beach is right across the street & has amazing white sand. Mary Ellen went above & beyond our expectations, anticipating anything we might have needed. I will truly treasure each morning waking up & having breakfast on the patio watching the dolphins in the intercoastal waters. We will definitely be returning as a family in the near future. Nick & Krystal Ritzema This was a very nice and clean 1 bedroom condo between the intracostal and gulf. Mary Ellen was very welcoming with her special touches in the decor of the unit and the helpful binder full of suggestions for restaurants and entertainment. It is always a joy to stay somewhere that the owner has such pride in ownership and hospitality! This is a very quaint safe residential area with everything within a 10 minute drive (Clearwater to the north and Madeira Beach to the south). The best part of the day was sitting on the patio in the morning having coffee and watching the seabirds and dolphins frolicking in the bay. If you want relaxation and good old fashioned quality family time without all the glitz then stay at Barefoot Beach Resort and rent from Mary Ellen. We were sure glad we did! Thanks Mary Ellen! Mary Ellen has a beautiful condo, everything you need, her welcome book was very helpful, we enjoyed our stay and would certainly rent from her again Better get reservations early because I am coming back next year, if not sooner. Mary has a great spot. Just outside her back door we saw dolphins and other fun critters. Across the street at the beach we saw plenty of white sand and great waves. My biggest complaint is that my wife and I could only stay a week. This place has it all! What more can I say? We are returning for a longer visit in January. Can't wait! A week certainly wasn't long enough! Very relaxing environment and lovely view. Mary Ellen has equipped this condo with everything. Nicely decorated, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Looking forward to returning to Barefoot. Mary Ellens condo is wonderful. I was in the area looking to buy a home and stayed there. The view is gorgeous. The condo has everything you need and is very clean. We stayed at Mary Ellen's condo the week of the 4th of July. We were very impressed. We have stayed at similar locations but NOTHING compared to Mary's place. Neither price or comfort. I have a boat and it was great we could dock the boat right outside her door, we were 20 minutes from John's Pass and 20 minutes from Clearwater Pass by boat. The boat ramp is a a few 100 yards away. We had access to private beach which we saw the BEST fireworks on the 4th we have ever seen. Everything you need is there the just bring your food and a smile. Mary has thought of everything. The facilites are spotless as well as the condo. Best vacation we have had in years. We are already looking forward to return very soon. I wouldnt imagine staying anywhere else on the Beach. I have referred many to Mary Ellen and will continue to do so. Thanks again Mary Ellen, will see you soon The owner is very nice. The condo is very nice, clean, and stocked with everything you need. We saw dolphins with their babies right from our patio. The beach is close by. We had a nice time! This condo was absolutely wonderful! If you are looking for relaxation this is definately the place. Everyone was very nice that we met. The owner of the condo was wonderful also, she checked in every so often to see if we needed anything. On all the vacations we have been on, this is the only one we will be going back to. Also the pictures online are exactly what the place looks like. You will not be disapointed in anyway!!!!! This condo was exactly like the photos and description..no surprises!It was one of the best units in the complex for location and view. We really enjoyed sitting on our patio and watching the luxury boats go by.The beach was just across the street and went on for miles. The condo was well stocked with everyting you need and more. I would highly reommend this condo and would definitely go back again. Thanks You Mary Ellen! We spent two weeks in this condo on the waterway and about 200 feet from the beach. The condo is very modern, clean, and offers all the amenities required. It is also well located for visits in the area. We would return again if we go in that area again. The owner is very accomodating and informative. This property provided everything we could have wanted and more. The owner has thought of everything you might need for a beach vacation and has fully equipped this beautiful condo with all the extras including beach supplies, coolers, umbrella....we didn't need to purchase anything. Stunning location right on the intercoastal meant dining on the patio and enjoying the antics of the pelicans and herons. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and look forward to returning! This is a perfect setting. You can sit on the patio and watch the boats on the intercoastal or walk to the beach. The accomodations are excellent and owner thought of everything including chocolates. We would go back in a heartbeat.
