It has been updated and redecorated, including beautiful new ceramic tile throughout the entire apartment, new living room furniture with queen sleeper sofa, new air conditioning system, and freshly painted every year to keep it clean and appealing for our guests.
In early 2014, we added a large flat screen TV in the living room and also flat screen TVs in the bedroom, all with full Cable channels. There are also two new recliners and all new tables in the living room, new mattress for the queen-sleeper sofa. We bought new furniture for the second bedroom, new refrigerator with ice maker in the kitchen, and a new microwave. All new bedding in both bedrooms and many new decorative touches, make our condo truly your home away from home.
The master bedroom has a queen-sized pillow-top mattress bed, digital alarm clock/radio and full private bath. At first, man was enslaved by the gods. But he broke their chains. Then he was enslaved by the kings. But he broke their chains. He was enslaved by his birth, by his kin, by his race. But he broke their chains. He declared to all his brothers that a man has rights which neither god nor king nor other men can take away from him, no matter what their number, for his is the right of man, and there is no right on earth above this right. And he stood on the threshold of the freedom for which the blood of the centuries behind him had been spilled.

Lovely beach vacation!
July 22, 2013
The condo is in a building right on the beach, which is extremely practical. There is a nice pool, the beach is not crowded, the water is warm. The staff was very helpful. The condo was spacious, quite well equipped with a big balcony. The two bathrooms are perfect when everyone wants to shower after the beach . I would definitely recommend this place and will come back if we vacation in this area!

We had a good time! Great location right on the beach; nice people. The condo was okay; plenty of space for four (actually a double and a single in the 2nd bedroom, so 3 kids could work). 4th-floor balcony faces east; great sunrises and a plastic drying rack for towels and swimsuits that we used constantly, but no beach view. NO washer/dryer in the unit; we were expecting washer/dryer in a condo and didn't notice it was omitted from the amenities list! Instead, there's a pay-per-load laundry room on each floor. "Fully Equipped" kitchen is exaggerated; "Minimally Functional" is more accurate if you plan to do a lot of eating in as we do. Nice pool and surrounding area. Covered parking on ground level below units. Overall a good experience.

We had a wonderful time!!!! We loved the secluded beach and the privacy!!! We were extremely pleased with the condo!! Very spacious and nice!!!! This place is not too far from Clearwater, St. Pete, Treasure Island and Tampa!! Very excellent place to go and stay for a family vacation and enjoy the balcony, swimming pool and of course the BEACH!!!! We do plan to visit again!!!!!
Hi William -

The best month ever!!
February 3, 2013
From start to finish this holiday was a winner. The condo is so well situated with views from the balcony of the dolphin jumping, pelican watching intracoastal waterway. The 2 beds/2 baths were perfect for 2 couples- immaculate, with a large kitchen and outfiltted with everything we needed. Living room was beautifully decorated with comfortable seating, as was the dining room. The 2 beds/2 baths was great, with one room providing a king bed/walkin closet and walkout to balcony. The sunrises from the balcony and the sunset from the walkway in the front provided us with incredible views every day. The condo is perfectly situated on Gulf Blvd, with a walk across the street to the gulf water where we enjoyed daily beach walks. The trolley is so convenient on Gulf Blvd taking us from Clearwater to St. Pete's in no time. Who needs a car!! Trolley drivers were awesome and friendly, as were the residents of Florida, providing help when needed and directions when we looked lost. And so many restaurants on Gulf Blvd to choose from- just talking with the condo folk provided us with so many options. Our favs were Salt Rock Grill (great early birds specials and 2 blocks away), Guppy's in Bellair, Sloppy Joes in Treasure Island (amazing sunsets and happy hours), Crabby Bills (Indian Rocks) for a cheap, good breakfast and fun atmosphere. Lots of entertainment on the Gulf too every night.Condo is conveniently located for grocery/liquor shopping at Publix or Winn Dixie(closer). The walking/biking paths were amazing. AND, the weather was perfect with sunshine 31 of the 33 days there and temps in the high 70's. A fantastic time was had by the 4 of us.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your stay in Indian Shores, Florida. The review you wrote is for another condo I referred you to and not for my condo, but your comments about the Indian Shores area, restaurants and beach are valid, regardless of the unit you stayed in. Thanks again and I look forward to hearing from you again... Beth

Our family of 5 recently spent 4 nights in unit 304. Nicely furnished with one queen & 2 double beds and leather furniture in the living room, plenty of room for us, even had some beach toys for the kids. Unit 304 faces the street rather than the beach so there was a bit of traffic noise, particularly one rainy night. Swimming pool also is on street side of the building which only gets morning sun. Beach is quite nice. Sand is full of bits of shell so not quite as soft as some beaches but is nice for shelling and perfectly adequate for any other beach activities. Had no problems with check-in or out. We would go back again.
Unit 304 in the building is not my condo, which is unit 107. I had referred this guest over to unit 304 because my condo was already booked, so the review about everything except the furnishings would be the same for my condo. I am happy to hear that she had a good vacation and would return again.

Perfect vacation home!!!
January 1, 2013
The condo was beautiful. We celebrated Christmas there. It couldn't have been a more perfect family vacation. It was a beachfront condo with an excellent view. The heated pool was was large and well maintained. It was warm enough to swim in the December temperatures. The grilling was super for food preparation. It had several tables in that area. The condo literally had everything we needed. A washer and dryer was located right outside our door and very convenient. We would not hesitate to recommend this condo to family and friends!

My wife and I had a really good time at the condo. We spent most of the time just walking and sun bathing on the beach. We would love to do it again next April if the condo is still available. We really enjoyed the local shopping and the places to eat out when we didn't eat at the condo. The lady caretaker was a great help to us and we really enjoyed her expertise about the local area. It was our first time by ourselves on the Gulf and as I said, we hope to do it again next April. Respectively submitted, Mr L. MacDonald.

This condo exceeded my expectations! It was a home away from home. Right on the beach. Rooms were clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very secure environment. Pool was nice and clean.

We stayed during the 4th of July week. It was a great vacation, beach at your footsteps and convenience within walking distance. The condo was as described. The lady in the front office was very helpful and friendly. Two downfalls, elevator was out twice (which was not THAT big of a deal but was inconvenient when carrying groceries up the stairs and having to make several trips), and there was not enough paper towles, dish tabs, and trash bags for a full week stay so we had to purchase them. The stay was relaxing though and we had a great time. Definitely happy we stayed and look forward to returning!
Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your stay at my condo. I heard about the elevator being down, but that is an unusual happening, and was caused by the huge amount of rain and wind from Tropical Storm Debbie. The decision to shut down the elevator when it was very rainy and windy was to prevent anyone from getting stuck in the elevator. As for the paper towels, dishwasher detergent, etc., there is a courtesy welcome package provided by the onsite management office that is meant to get your started for a couple of days until you've had a chance to shop. I rented condos for more than 20 years prior to buying my condo, and had never been provided a welcome package, and many a time walked into a condo to find not even a sheet of toilet paper. Sometimes you're lucky and previous guests leave behind some of the essentials like spices, condiments, toilet paper, etc. but basically having to make those kinds of purchases is just part of renting a condo for your vacation instead of staying in a hotel. I'm happy you enjoyed your stay and hope you will contact me again for your next visit to the area.
10 days :)
June 30, 2012
Not much to say. Was a great trip and the condo was right on the ocean front full view. My daughter and I enjoyed the place. We were down to finish up her school entrance end and orientation plus find her an apartment. It was a but further than I wanted from Tampa (1hr drive most days) but worth it because I loved driving up and down the different islands. We visited each. The food choices and views were great and minutes from everything else. Recommend Sculley's at John's Pass and to explore the area. Must visit the beautiful Clearwater beaches and scour Treasure Island. Then most assuredly visit the Pier and downtown St Petersburgh and the shops there also visit the Dali Museum (very intriguing). All in all apartment found, set up for school, pool, beach and relaxation. What more can you ask for during a Tropical Storm. :)

Nice quiet location
May 4, 2012
We stayed in unit 308, at first glance it was very outdated, and seemed a little "tired", the screens on the windows and patio door were very difficult to open and lot of dust and possible mold. Once we settled we had a great vacation, pool very clean, beach at the door step very nice and great access to the beach trolley to go anywhere you wanted in the area. Staff here are very helpful, responded to all requests we made. I would definitely stay at this location again, just in another unit which is more updated. Our friends stayed in another unit which was much more pleasing. Close to lots of nice restaurants and half way between Clearwater and St Petes. Great spot to bring children, very quiet and secure.
Hi Linda -
I'm not sure why you posted this review on my listing as my condo unit is in the same building (unit #107) but is not the one you stayed in. I am happy to hear that once you settled in that you enjoyed your vacation. Hopefully next time my condo unit will be available and you will be able to rent it.

We had a very pleasant stay at our condo, the decor and amenities were very nice. It was close to a lot of nice places to visit and have dinner. Would have like to have better beach chairs provided. The ones we were left had seen better days.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review of my condo and I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Also, I appreciate you letting me know about the beach chairs. I will have them replaced immediately. I hope you'll consider my condo again for your next visit to the Indian Shores area!!

Holiday Villas II Unit 107
August 8, 2011
The unit I stayed in did not face the beach, but I knew that going in. I loved that it had tile floors throughout. Didn't have to worry about the sand getting into carpet. The unit was very clean and had little thoughtful items such as books to read, games, etc. Staff members were friendly and helpful. Be prepared to wash your own towels...they don't do that for you. Washer and dryer on each floor.(pay to use). I was in direct contact with the unit owner a couple of times and she was great to work with. I would stay there again.
August 3, 2011
Your place was absolutely lovely. The cleanliness and furnishings were a delight. We had a wonderful time. Did not use the pool much,(many children) but went to the beach often. Your beach umbrella and chair came in very handy. Although we did not dine at Salt Rock Grill, next door, (little pricey), we thoroughly enjoyed JD's down the road. Hope to come again. Gail
Relaxing in the sun
July 19, 2011
The location of the apartment eas great. Taking the stairs it was only 20 seconds to the beach. The parking space was covered so the car didn't bake in the sun.
July 10, 2011
This was our first time to this area of Florida, and we are certainly planning to come again. The condo was ccomfortable and spacious, and the beach was peaceful and not crowded. We were blessed with quiet mornings sitting on the balcony looking out at the gentle waves, dolphins, sea birds, and even a manatee one day!
sacramento, CA previously Pinellas Park, FL
nice beach, outdated but nice condo.
June 26, 2011
The condo had a very strong odor of cigarettes, and the walls are paper thin resulting in loud traffic and warm condo. The Condo is well equipt with dishes and cookware which was nice. For a $125 cleaning fee, I would have expected a cleaning service throughout the week or at least once or twice. You have to provice your own beach towels can't use the small ones provided in the bathrooms. It advertises having digital/radio alarm clocks but only one room had a clock and it was analog. It would be nice for blackout curtains to put over the blinds in the room since there's an automatic light that comes on outside during the night. It lit up the room pretty good.
My condo stay
April 8, 2011
This condo was pleasing large for a two bedroom. It had everything that one required for a week stay. The Bedrooms were adequate and the beds comfortable. Although there were a few things that could have been updated. The screen to the patio really needed to be replaced. The sink in the bedroom needed a tuneup. There wasn't a big supply of hot water in the sinks except for the shower. The dishes in the kitchen has seen it's days and they could sure do with a replacement. Overall though the condo served our purposes and we had an enjoyable stay.

Unbelievable sunrises and views to the east.
February 28, 2011
The unit we were in was very attractive and well supplied with anything you might possibly need. We enjoyed our stay and the friendly guests and personnel. Even the weather was great. The only problem was traffic noise on Gulf Blvd. below our 3rd. floor balcony, but oh those morning sunrises.

My family and I have vacationed in Indian Shores many times and just love the area. We have stayed in several different condos over the years and I have to say that we really enjoyed the comforts offered in this condo and building. It is one of the largest 2-bedroom condos we have stayed in and the layout is great because the living space is very open and bright. The furniture, especially the sofas and beds, were very comfortable and there was plenty of closet and drawer space for all our stuff. We used the queen sleeper sofa in the living room and it was very comfortable to sleep on. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and all the appliances worked just fine (which we have found to not always be the case when renting condos and houses). We loved the pool, which was heated to just the right temperature and all the other guests were very friendly and it made it a great vacation for our family. The beach is right there when you come out of the building and that was the best part of all!! Definitely will stay here again next time.
What a Great Florida getwaway!
January 4, 2010
My husband and I stayed for 4 nites and this condo overlooking the intracoastal was terrific! The beds were really comfortable and the leather couches rated very high with us-Much more comfortable the the usual rattan couches in most condos! The kitchen was well-stocked and we will most definitely go back!

A home close to home
July 28, 2009
We had a great time at a great price at Indian Shores. My 9 year daughter met plenty of friends, as did I. The stingrays were in full force, but with a pair of water shoes and a little "shuffle" - we managed to dodge them. Parking was a slight issue (if you have more than one car) but luckily the public "self-pay" parking lot across the street had broken meters! The condo was very clean and was complete with all the comforts of home. Only thing lacking was beach towels... I didn't think to pack them. Overall, we had an awesome time. I will reccomend this property to others. We look forward to our next trip!

Paradise Not Lost
March 30, 2009
This was the third year that me and my family have stayed in the Indian Shores area - but the first year that we did it right!! Our accomodations were first class all the way including the world class view from the double balcony. The condo was roomy and decorated in a family friendly way. We did not want for anything, and were very impressed at how well the grounds and pool were maintained. We hope it is the beginning of a long relationship for us!

Summer Vacation 2008
July 15, 2008
I did not get a chance to stay only one night out of four due to death in the family.
Not quite as advertised
April 28, 2008
The Holiday Villas II building is hardly "magnificent" but provides spacious, basic accomodations. Think "motel," not "resort." If you need quiet, however, look elsewhere. Voices in the corridors echo loudly through the building, and maintenance activities begin early in the morning (every morning). The furnishings in our unit were tired and dated. "High speed internet" is a listed amenity, but you have to pay for it separately ($13/day, $30/week) - that's deceptive advertising in my view. Road construction along the only route to anywhere means you can't get anyplace quickly. On the plus side, the on-site managers are very friendly and helpful, and the beach is great.

The unit in which we stayed was 418. This unit was emaculate. The furnishings and finishing of this place was very well done. The view was woth a million and we were lucky enough to have great weather. Recommended to anyone.

We rented another condo owened by the same people on the other side of the building over looking the Intra Costal Waterway. Excellent value accomodation, very helpful on-site staff. Condo was very clean and exactly what we had been led to beleive it would be - perfect for a family with young children. We hope to return again next year.
