Reviews for this vacation home rental in Indianola, Washington
The PERFECT getaway rental!
February 18, 2013
Twice a year for the past 6 or 7 years, the 8 of us rent a house for an extended scrapbooking weekend. We are always in search of the "perfect" getaway house. We finally found that house! The Indianoloa Beach House was perfect in every way. We didn't want to leave. The owners know how to provide a welcoming environment and thought of everything. The beds, linen, individual soaps, coffee, etc. were classy additions. The kitchen is stocked w/ all the necessities and MORE! The house was plenty big and able to accommodate all of our tables and scrapbooking materials. The view was beautiful and the deck was wonderful to sit on, even in the cold of January. Would love to come to this house in the summer! Everything is up to date and the decor very classy. There wasn't anything that I thought could have been different. We will definitely be back within the year.

This was the best vacation destination! I had a wonderful mother/daughter get-a-way and the Indianola Beach House was the perfect place...so warm and welcoming...nothing to do except sit back, enjoy our surroundings, and relax. This is the perfect place to have a family reunion! We loved the house, beach, and town in Indianola and plan on returning with family in the near future. Thank you for an awesome vacation get-a-way!!!

Plan on staying at the home your entire visit as once you arrive you won't want to leave! The views are awe-inspiring with much to look at and ever changing. The home itself is well appointed with all you'll need. Beautiful, comfortable and clean.

My son discovered this gem on vacation home rentals. We visited with my sister and her family. The place is enchanting. The home is in fantastic condition, with every detail considered and planned for. There was plenty of room for 7 people to spread out, but still great spaces to be together. We loved cooking in the well-appointed kitchen and dining on the stunning deck. The four teen-aged kids were endlessly in the kayaks or exploring on the beach, with most evenings spent around the fire pit on the deck. The beds were comfortable with nice linens. The ability to run a batch of laundry was sure convenient. The surrounding area is charming and great for a relaxing walk. I think it is the best relaxation I have had in a very, very long time and the memories created with my family will be treasured.
Exceptional in every way

Great place for a girls weekend!
November 8, 2011
We found this home to rent on VRBO and were excited that it slept 12! We cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner here in this gourmet kitchen for all! We stayed in our slippers and beach-combing shoes the full 3 days we were here. Scrap-booking, knitting, quilting, and beading were just a few of the activities that kept us indoors but loving the view from ALL THREE floors of this amazing home. The owners were wonderful to work with, the beds were comfortable, the linens were plentiful and high quality, the home was immaculate! We will stay here again, thank you for sharing it!

I rented this property for my family to stay in over my wedding weekend. It is just beautiful! The view of Seattle, Bainbridge Is., and Mt. Rainier is amazing, and the house sits right in front of a huge sandy beach. The kitchen has everything we could possibly have needed. The house is only a block from charming downtown Indanola. After the wedding, my family and guests built a fire in the fire pit (with the wood that was provided) and watched the water. We all had a wonderful time at the Beach House. What a great place!

The house is beautiful, comfortable, well-appointed. The first floor kitchen has all the standard appliances and some nonstandard: a crockpot, food processor, electric griddle, etc. Pizza stones and many baking and cooking pans, pots, bowls. Lots of silverware and dishes. All well organized and easy to find. There's a big gas grill on the deck. Beautiful deck! And two beautiful balconies above. Lots of sleeping possibilities. We had a wonderful time there, a whole crowd of family from 80 year olds to a baby. Everyone slept well, ate well, walked on the beach, swam, rode the two kayaks... This is a great house. You will love it.

Our family gathered to celebrate our 65th wedding anniversary. The house accommodated all of us, and it was easy to prepare meals in the very efficient kitchen. We wished we had a larger table, though. The beds were comfortable, TVs abundant (though they didn't get much use) and the boats were used and enjoyed. Climbing the steps to the bedroom level was difficult for us old folks, and I got to the lower deck only once- with help from a grandchild- due to no hand rails. The weather cooperated most of the time, but the view was spectacular. Thanks for a lovely home in which to have fun with family. Jack and Marji Tuell, Des Moines, WA

The Indianola Beach House is the perfect location for a girlfriend getaway! The home is brand new, very spacious and well stocked with linens, kitchen items, etc. The first level great room's oversized coffee table works excellent for an evening of lively games. Our beach combing adventure during low tide was amazing, perfect for young and old and oh how the dogs love it! Our plan was to dine out but because of the marvelous party sized deck with its incredible views, we couldn't pull ourselves away and the fire pit for late night s'mores was so appreciated. Strolling through this idyllic waterfront community is yet another wonderful activity while in Indianola and the convenience of the beach house to Seattle makes this an effortless trip that seems miles away but yet it's so close. Thanks for the memories!

The house is well positioned to give the most fantastic view of the area. Inside was as nice as the view. Clean, well furnished and when the winds blew and the power went out, the property owners showed up with a generator. Only suggestion I have, place reflectors in the drive way to help at night. ( Sorry, but as an old safety officerI had to say that.)

We stayed at the beach house in February 2010 and had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful, the views are breath taking, and the atmosphere was amazing. We had several people ask us how they could rent the place!!! Everybody had an amazing time and I couldnt be more pleased with the time we spent here!
Wonderful Relaxing Getaway

Every year, my girlfriends and I run away for a weekend to what we call Camp Lazy. This year, we were lucky enough to find the Indianola Beach House. It was perfect. The kitchen was amazing and well stocked, rooms comfortable, plenty of space for all of our lazy activities, and the view (even in cloudy weather) was amazing. We loved every minute of it. Many thanks to the owners for sharing this gem with us.
A 50th Birthday Weekend to Remember
November 10, 2009
My husband, our dog and I rented this house for my birthday weekend and invited 9 of our family and friends to join us. Although the weather was often wet and blustery, the house was always warm and welcoming. The common spaces are inviting and comfortable. The house is wonderfully furnished and the extra wide shower heads are a treat. The kitchen was well stocked with enough dishes, utensils, cooking equipment to feed an army (which I think we did). The views from all three floors were amazing. In between the rain showers, we did squeeze in many walks on the beach (accessible from the house down some stairs or via easier stairs at the end of the block). Having three areas with TVs worked great for us so that a few could watch the football game without disturbing the "chatters" and vice versa. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to celebrate. Kudos to the owners for allowing pets as our dog was in heaven chasing the waves and seagulls. We'll certainly be back.

agate pass beach house
September 16, 2009
We had a wonderful time during our stay at the Agate Pass Beach House. The pictures online don't do it justice! It's a beautiful property and the furnishings are lovely. The beach access was fantastic and just sitting on the deck and enjoying the view together was one of the highlights of our trip! The whole proces was really easy and we really appreciated that the owners allowed us to check in a few hours early. I would recommend this house to anyone.
Perfect Place for Family Get Together
August 27, 2009
Great place for a restful and relaxing weekend or weeklong getaway. The house was a perfect place for our family reunion. It was exactly as described; comfortable, very clean, spacious, and all the amenities you need for your stay. The view from all the balconies was amazing, especially at night. And the townspeople are very friendly. Reserving the home was a breeze, and Debra was very helpful with all the questions I had. Everybody loved it and we plan to come return in the future.

If you're looking for a waterfront vacation place not too far from Seattle (but far enough), this is it. The home is located in tiny Indianola and sits on the edge of a bluff which overlooks Bainbridge and Seattle. There are public access stairs to the beach on the east side of the home on the other side of the fence. The home itself is fantastic...three floors, each with a deck. It's brand new, and furnished with everything you would possibly need. Another thing I liked is although you have neighbors, they aren't right on top of you and house is situated so that it's very private. It's about 12 minutes from the Kingston ferry, and 25-30 minutes to the Bainbridge ferry. The owners were great to deal with, and I'm definitely coming back here. Just do your grocery shopping in Kingston or Poulsbo before you arrive, and you'll never need or want to leave. The Indianola Country Store is a three to five minute walk in case you forget something. Great made to order sandwiches!
THIS COMMENT WAS TAKEN FROM OUR GUESTBOOK JOURNAL AT THE BEACH HOUSE:
"What an incredible time! We can't thank you enough for sharing your beautiful home with us and giving our family the opportunity to build such wonderful memories together. We spend so much of our time on a schedule, and needing to do this or that, that it was great to enjoy our kids exploring the wonder of God's creation. Gooey ducks, moon snails, crab, starfish, a flounder, and even a sea lion following us in the kayaks...how do you schedule those experiences? We feel very fortunate to have found you and appreciate your hospitality."

GLENN (FROM RENTON, WA) AND HIS WONDERFUL FAMILY LEFT THE FOLLOWING REVIEW ON OUR OTHER WEB LISTING. THANKS SO MUCH!!
The stay at the Beach House currently ranks as our best family vacation. The reason for this is all about the beautiful house with plenty of space, great location, and a great owner to work with. The owners have a best in class house that comes with all of the amenties that one could want for a vacation. The house is very spacious and provided my wife, me, 3 kids (ages between 4 to 8), and dog with plenty of space to relax and have a great time. The 3 levels are perfect for a family as it allows plenty of room for everyone to spread out and do things that they enjoy doing. The 2nd level was nice as the kids were able to go up to that level and watch movies, TV, and play games, while my wife enjoyed readings books, or sitting outside. The pictures are very accurate and the property is in outstanding shape. The house was very clean and well-maintained as the owners have a lot of items to keep you busy. The house has games, binoculars to take a look at the views, wide range of books and movies. Even better it has cable TV and Wifi service. We ended up bringing too many things as the house had everything one would need. Next time we will definitely pack lighter. The house does have a very big kitchen and has all the supplies that one could want to cook with. In addition they have a great BBQ grill out on the deck. One night we did an iron chef cook off and there was plenty of room for various people to make different dishes without getting in each other's way. The location of the house is amazing as we spent a lot of time out on the beach and out on the patio by the fire pit. In addition to simply exploring the beach, we had fun watching our dog run around and playing in the water. We also had a great day of flying kites out on the beach. The fire pit became a nightly thing for my family as we made smores, had a hot dog roast, and just had fun spending time as a family. The owner is very responsive and easy to work with. A great example was that she texted me when the house was ready for check in which ended up being earlier then the agreed upon time. When not enjoying the beach or spending time relaxing there are a number of fun towns to visit and we found a lot of great places to eat by using Yelp app on our iPad. Some of the highiights: Port Gamble, Poulsbo, Kingston. In addition there are a number of great stores within short driving distance with great fresh produce/fish to allow for some awesome home cooked meals. Thanks again!
MICHELE AND HER FAMILY (SANTA CRUZ, CA) STAYED AT THE BEACH HOUSE THE WEEK OF JULY 13/ 2011. SHE LEFT THIS COMMENT ON OUR OTHER WEB LISTING. THANKS SO MUCH!
We rented this wonderful house because our son was getting married at a home a few doors down the road. We ended up having the most wonderful vacation in addition to the wedding. This house is just perfect!! Every inch of it is immaculate and beautifully decorated. It's so comfortable we just felt immediately at home. And as wonderful as the house is, the setting is even more fantastic. Indianola is charming and the house is right on Puget Sound. We thought we were only attending a wedding... we also ended up clamdigging, crabbing (YUM!!) kayaking, watching the bald eagle who visitied the house every day and just enjoying the views and serenity. Our 3 year old granddughter had a blast on the beach collecting shells. We plan to be back next summer. Thank you Debbie for sharing your house. We loved it.

About:On one of our first dates (35 years ago), Jeff took me to his grandmother's house in a quaint, little coastal town called Indianola. While on the ferry he shared stories about the property, his family, and fond childhood memories of working on summer projects and playing on the beach.
