Description of the Irons vacation cottage rental

This roomy loft style cottage is located on Little Bass Lake in Irons, Michigan. Easily sleeps 10 with 2 bedrooms and a loft that sleeps 6. Be on the best side of the lake for sunsets and sunshine with gorgeous lake views from living room, kitchen, loft and wrap around deck. Each bedroom has a full size bed. There are also 2 full size beds and 2 twin beds up in the loft. Enjoy the comforts of a completely furnished cottage-dishes, pots and pans, silverware, glasses, sheets, blankets, and towels all available.

Starting in 2009 much of the cottage has been updated and by May of 2010 the outside will be painted as well as some updates!

Washer and dryer, furnace, complete bath with separate sink area, tub and shower, dock, outdoor seating, bonfire area make for a home away from home. Living room includes Large screen TV with Satellite viewing, loft has 21" TV with VCR, master bedroom has 19" TV with limited stations. The music system is IPOD compatible.

This comfortable cottage is in the heart of dozens of Snow Mobile trails, Caberfae Skiing, Casinos, Hunting,and Fishing. Perfect for snowmobilers, skiers, hunters, and families.

Little Bass Lake is a wonderful all sport, spring fed Private Lake for Swimming and Fishing and connects to Big Bass Lake for all water sports.

Area Information

Irons is breathtaking in any season offering so much to do very close to the cottage at all times. The winter is exceptional. Irons is in a snow belt where you can enjoy the dozens of snowmobile trails right outside your door, skiing close by, ice fishing, etc. The fall brings the most radiant colors anywhere. Spring is fishing heaven. Summer is nonstop water fun. With Casinos close by, there is no better area around to catch the action or choose to relax in an ultimate vacation environment.

Beautiful Retreat

This was my second visit to the cottage and I can't say enough except I wish our stay was longer ! It has a nice sandy beach with a Paddle Boat. The lake is warm enough for swimming for us because we are a picky bunch, in June ! The cottage is not on top of anyone and has plenty of parking for our annual womens outing, we tend to make a little noise. And it has Satillite, a plus for me. The cottage is very cute and comfortable with the Northern Michigan decor. I would come back and recommend this for anyone, small or a larger group of vacationers I heard from others on the lake, it's great for fishing but not forget it's wonderful for swimming with a dock and swim deck to have that glass of wine on while watching the sun go down.

great location for family vacation

It was so nice to walk out to the backyard and be at the lake. Great fishing! Plenty of room at the cottage to move around. Quiet and remote location was peaceful and relaxing. The owners were super nice and helpful. Just so you know, it was very warm in early August and necessary to sleep with windows open, the loft was just a little stuffy so most of us slept down stairs. We would definately recommend to friends and family and will probably be going back again too (I hope). Enjoy.

Amazing!!

The cottage is beautiful, inviting, comfortable & perfectly situated on the lake for amazing sunset views. The owner went out of his way to prepare the beach and dock so ensure that our entire clan of kids would have the best time possible. The 10 kids range from 4 to 15 years old and every single one of them had a blast - whether it was rowing/riding in the boat to the floating dock, fishing, swimming, building a camp fire, reading in the hammock, playing in the sand, you name it - they did it! I loved that they were so busy playing outside they didn't miss the game stations, i-pods, cell phones, and internet. The location of the cottage made it feel private & quiet but easy for day trips to Ludington, Lake Michigan, Pt. Betsie Lighthouse and, of course, no trip would be same without a visit to the Dublin Fudge Company! If we vacation in Michigan next summer, your cottage will be first on our list!
