The Villa Coco on the Isla Mujeres

Hello travelers, We just got back from the Isla Mujeres after spending two relaxing weeks there. We stayed at the Villa Coco Pairisio which is a newer place on the south end of the island. The south end is the place for you if your mission is to just "chill". The coco is kept very clean. We had the clear blue waters of the pool to cool off in and we had this all to ourselves as there are just a few rooms at the villa. We were blowing up our floaties and having some trouble so we asked for a tire pump. The device that came to my husband did not look like a tire pump but a plunger. The reason I share this is because they made a point to go out and find us a tire pump just so we could blow up our floaties and relax in the welcoming waters of the pool. The staff was very willing to help us with all of our needs and I have no doubt that you will be treated the same. We were served a small breakfast to start our day which included fresh fruit and a toasted bread with a delightful strawberry jelly. One feature that I would like to share is the roof of the building. The roof of the building was like having my very own patio. The breeze on top of the roof felt so yummy as the warm sun kissed our skin to a golden brown. We were not located right on the beach but just five minutes away from a very quiet, relaxing, beautiful beach. The villa provided golf cart transportation to and from the beach up to 5:00PM. Your options to get around on the island consist of golf cart, scooter, taxi and your very own legs. We found all forms to be sufficiant. We particularly enjoyed walking around and found that we saw things that we would have never noticed on our wheeled machines. Most of the resteraunts are found on the north end of the island. You will have no problem finding a variety of food and the prices where moderate. Once again we found ourselves up on the south end eating in the most quiet, cute and romantic little places. We took in the calmness of the water at Maria's just as the sun was setting. We had the entire place to ourself and felt like we were the only ones on the island. I would have to say that our journey placed us with the most lovely people. In the evening we would gather together and talk of past travel destinations and future ones to come. We spoke of our families back home which included our pets. I packed my bags with a big smile because I had a lovely time. I got to spend two weeks with the most wonderful man that I know.
