Description of the Island Falls vacation cottage rental

Rental Cottage on Pleasant Pond in Island Falls, ME. YEAR ROUND and fully furnished. Great spot for your summer vacation. There are three bedrooms, one with a queen bed, one with a double bed and one with two twin beds. We also have a pullout couch. Linens and towels are included. There is a full bath, SATELLITE T.V., WIRELESS INTERNET CONNECTION, full kitchen, dining and living room area. There is a deck on the front with a gas grill and an outside picnic table and fireplace. This is a great spot for swimming, fishing and boating. There is a dock and float to enjoy the water and kayaks and a canoe are included. Located two miles away is a beautiful 18 hole golf course. There is direct access to four wheeler trails. Day trips to Canada, Mt.Katahdin, Bar Harbor and other places of interest are possible from this spot.

The cottage is about one hour and a half from Mt. Katahdin located in Baxter State Park. A great place to hike and sight see.
There are many nearby brooks and rivers to kayak and fish in
Pleasant Pond is a great place to fish for Salmon and Bass
The pond is spring fed and the water is relatively clear making it a great place to swim.

Vajowa Golf Course offers a beautiful eighteen holes within two miles of the cottage.

Wonderful Cottage!!!

We rented this cottage for a family vacation with our children and grandchildren. We enjoyed the kyaks, swimming and the convience of the ATV trails. The owners are very accomadating and friendly, couldn't have made a better choice!! Great for a quiet romantic week or family gathering. Really enjoyed the location.

This cottage was a great getaway for us. Four of us stayed very comfortably here. Liz and Doug are extremely gracious people and their cottage provided everything you could ask for. The snowmobiling right from the house was ideal and the trails were awesome. Would definitely stay again. Thanks Liz and Doug for all your recommendations on food and for the great stay.

Ideal Location for Outdoor Recreation

This was the base camp for our moose hunting expedition. It turned out to be the ideal location for our needs. Just minutes from I-95, camp proved to be most convenient to practically any desination. After a long day in the woods it was a welcome oasis in which to prepare a hot meal and revitalize while planning the next day's strategy. The location is quiet and the sleeping accomodations quite comfortable. I strongly encourage staying here, it offers four season recreation, the views are tranquil and serene and the Clarks are welcoming and gracious hosts. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We needed a place to stay in Island Falls for the weekend, due to a family thing. The Clarks were willing to let us have it... my wife and I, our adult sons and their wives. We were made to feel very much at home. Wish their weren't so many blackflies, but the cottage was very tight and we had no blackflies make it inside. Chilly nights but a nice quick furnace took off the chill, lovely waterfront setting. Canoes and kayaks available. A fire pit, back deck, propane grill. Wonderful stay. Beautiful location.

If it hadn't of rained for the entire 2 days that we stayed in this Camp...it would have been the best snowmobiling I had ever seen, perfectly groomed trails, 30' wide, alas, it rained the whole time. Great camp though, right on the Lake

Doug and Liz go above and beyond to make sure we had a great time and had everything we needed to make our stay more enjoyable. If you are looking for a crystal clear lake, some of the best salmon fishing in Maine, and the great Maine outdoors with all the conveniences of home make the trip to Pleasant Lake. It is well worth it and very inexpensive.
