Reviews for this vacation cottage rental in Island Falls, Maine
Wonderful cabin on the water
August 16, 2012
We were in Maine for a wedding and stayed at the cabin on Pleasant Pond. The pictures don't do it justice. It's a gorgeous location and the owners made us feel totally welcome from the moment we got there. The cabin has everything you could possibly need. We swam, canoed, and even made s'mores. Thank you!
Best place to visit!

This was an amazing two week vacation. I booked the camp around this same time last year and couldn't wait to get there. We checked in on Sunday July 10th; the Rupley's met us at the camp and gave us the grand tour. This was my dream vacation. The first week Mike and I were both at camp, the second week I was alone during the day. The second week was very relaxing sitting by the lake, reading novels and watching the boats. The evenings were spent listening to the loons call across the lake and the resident bullfrog singing at night. We also had a spectacular light show at night from the resident fireflies. The camp was furnished with anything anyone could ever imagine needing. I packed way more items than I needed. The lake was very refreshing on those hot July days. If anyone is looking for a vacation to put their feet up relax and play a little cribbage then this is just what you are looking for. I also had fun with my nephews two girls age 7 and 12 in the lake. The view is spectacular and the locals are very friendly. There is a golf course near by and a grocery store only a few miles away. I am hoping to be able to come next year for at least a week. The hand painted pictures of Doc on the walls brought back memories of watching him work as a child and then as an adult with my own pets. There are many interesting old tools/kitchen utensils etc. hanging throughout the camp and this struck up many conversations with our visitors. You will not find more gracious hosts than the Rupleys.
