Description of the Isle of Palms vacation home rental
This is our personal residence with everything on the ground floor, professionally decorated, and is located on America's finest playground, Hamlin Creek, which leads to and from the Intracoastal Waterway. Sit on our deck that surrounds our pool and watch the yachts traveling from Florida to Maine. Our dock is available for your boat and is where we moor our 27-footer. The creek is replete with fish, shrimp, crabs or simply to enjoy all water sports. The beach is a short 450 yards away and is the greatest beach in all of the South. I walk on it virtually every day for exercise and tranquility. You will love it. Carriage house is on premisis and may or may not be occupied by owner.

A Week at The Oasis

August 17, 2008

I spent a lovely week at the Oasis, what the owners, the Bashas call their vacation home. My sisters, husbands and their grown children came from California and Maryland to meetwith my family of four for a vacation. The house is just beautiful, wonderfully furnished with everything we needed. It was a very short walk to the beach, which is beautiful with a calm warm breeze everyday. The water in August was extremely warm and with the breeze the beach is quite pleasant, even though the land temperature was in the 90's. In the evenings the men would shoot pool or we'd all take a dip in the pool before heading out to Charleston for fabulous dinners! We explored the restaurants on Isle of Palms as well and took short trips to a couple of the other isles nearby. This was truly one of the best vacations and nicest houses we have rented for family getaways. All of us would rent the house again. (Though not in August.) The only thing I woulld add:have the elevators ready for guest's use.
