Reviews for this vacation cabin rental in Jackson, New Jersey

We stayed here for an extended weekend. It is so close to six flags and the outlets. Better than staying at a hotel. Also received security deposit very fast. Will definitely come back again.

This is the third time we'very stayed here and it's so beautiful, quiet, and better than a hotel. Instead of going out to eat we barbecued on the grill, sat around the bond fire, and relaxed in the gazebo. The cabin has nice air conditioning and very spacious for at most 5 or 6 people that would sleep comfortably. The cable is limited but there are DVD players. The one in the living room area has a suprisingly amazing speaker sound system around the room. All around great experience and would definitely come back for another visit.

We stayed at cabin #11. The owner Yumei was very nice. We stayed for a week and it was amazing. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The best part of it was the loft. The kids loved it. The fire pit was a bonus. We even cook on the fire pit. The cabin is next to all the attractions. Cabin #9 owner Sue she were very kind hearted. She lend us a couple of her linens. Thanks Sue for your kindness. And then there were David. Very nice guy. He were very helpful. He is the maintainance guy on the camp site. And Melissa is the manager. I haven't met her but my husband did and there were only good things about her. Overall we had a great time and we would love to go back for family vacation next year. Thanks Yumei for making my family happy for a week. Regards, Ravina

I stayed at the cabin with 5 of my friends, where went to a music festival that was happening at six flags for the weekend. The location is VERY close to six flags, which was a major plus. From the outside, the cabin looks very small so we were nervous that the 6 of us were going to be squished, but that was not the case at all. There was a lot of room and we all were very comfortable! The one this was that the loft upstairs, was very small- so you couldn't stand. But, that was not an issue since we only used it for sleeping. The cabins are close together, but it was a very quiet. When we did see our weekend neighbors, they were very pleasant. I do have to say that the owner, Yumei was a great help in setting everything up. I had a lot of questions and I got a response to everyone of them in fast timing. I felt comfortable with this transaction knowing that Yumei was the one who was renting. My friends and I all enjoyed our stay, and would defiantly like to visit again!!

So close to Six Flags
January 4, 2013
I searched for a place to stay on our 4 night Six Flags vacation. We wanted something close by that slept 2 adults and 2 brother/sister teens comfortably. Finally I stumbled across Laural Pond Luxury Resorts. At first I thought " oh, not what we are looking for" but then I investigated their webpage and was very interested. The manager was very kind and helpful when I called, he answered all my questions and we set up our late night arrival. Upon our arrival he was building us a campfire and had the cabin warmed. In the morning I took better stock of the kitchen supplies and realized I needed more pots & pans and that the outside grill was not there. I called over to the office and soon after all the supplies I requested were brought to our door. Wonderful service! The other issue we faced was that I mistakenly thought the hot tub came with the cabin. It was an additional $20 a day charge. Instead of having them go through the trouble of moving one to our site we agreed to use the one next door at an RV site. He only charged us $20 for the weekend. It was nice to have after long days at the park. We ended every night in that tub. The cabin is equipped with a full size fridge, stove, and microwave. I did all my major cooking at home and just brought it with us. There was plenty of room in the fridge and freezer for our food and ice cream..hehe. We saved a fortune not eating out and it was nice to get up in the morning and make a nice big breakfast before heading to the park which is only 5 minutes away. We even came back to eat and nap midday then back to the park. We enjoyed having a private bedroom with a nice comfortable bed. The kids each took one side of the loft area. We could have easily fit more people in that cabin because the two couches downstairs both were full size comfortable futons. The one real problem I did have with Laural Pond was the water quality. It had a sulfur smell to it. We just bought bottled water to cook with and drink. We played hard at Six Flags and did not stay at the resort much but when we were there it was quite. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere..in a good way. There was hardly anyone around. We did not venture any further than our cabin but I understand there are a few amenities around. I am in the process of planning a May trip and will be looking into staying here again. Tips: Bring your own pillows, theirs were flat. The towels were stiff, maybe from the weird water. Bring drin

We had an awesome time staying here. Pretty much the only ones on the property. Good for anyone who wants to get away and just relax. Though it was quiet could, we had no trouble turning on the heat lamp above the grill to make something for ourselves, then set up a nice fire right alongside it. Good time and perfect environment.

My group of 2 adults and 4 kids had a wonderful stay at this cabin. Was pleasantly surprised that the unit was just like is showed in the pictures. Location was centrally located for our visit to major tourist attractions, easy access to NYC, Atlantic City, Philadelphia and exceptional location for the convenience of going to the Six Flags Adventure Parks. Cabin was clean overall, and loved the outdoor gas grill for cooking. Was there at time of year where mosquitos were abundant so we did not take advantage of the campfire, picnic table, and hot tub, but kids had one night in the tub and had a ball! The cabin was comfortable for us, even with six in our party. Plenty of accommodations for sleeping. Was great to have the full kitchen including the microwave which saved us a bunch on food for the week. Had no real issues or complaints from any in our party. Would rent again if we ever come again to the great state of New Jersey. I really appreciated the effort put in to getting a very prompt refund for the security deposit. Thank you very, very much!

Cute and comfortable
October 6, 2010
My group of 6 young adults (mid-20's) had a great time this past weekend! The cabin was beautiful, both inside and out, and was very comfortable when we were actually in it; we spent most of our time around our "Lumenaris Barbeque," keeping warm and cooking over our fire bit/barbeque. The only thing "negative" feedback was (1) that the hot tub was a bit small, and was not really made for more than 2-3 adults, it was just not tall enough, (2) the cabin's themselves are a bit close to each other, and (3) the breakers kept popping whenever we would try to plug anything electrical into any outlet, but really, in all honesty, all of these "negatives" were small and did not cramp our weekend one bit! Plus, these cabins must be made with super sound proofing because sound does not penetrate in or out! We had a great time and will be looking forward to returning soon! Thank you.

Pleasant & Relaxing

Went for relaxing weekend w/ friends and it was great. besides mother natures pesky flies & water scent, was very nice. Fire pit & outdoor cooking was awesome.

The house was a bit smaller than we had realized it would be, but it was nice nonetheless. The "loft" is really more of a crawl space. There is no room to stand at all. The television also doesn't really work, as it flickers the entire time you watch it. And, there are some electrical issues. If you turn on the hot tub, the bathroom light and gazebo heater, all of the lights go out. It took us a few times of losing power to figure this out. But, the property was also extremely clean and well kept. The property manager was responsive to all needs, as was the owner. Since it is so close to Six Flags (literally a couple of minutes drive) this would be a nice rental for a Six Flags weekend. There's really not much else to do around there; especially in the winter. But, we did have a nice fire on the last night. Despite the small issues we had, we enjoyed our stay.

My stay in your cabin was the perfect mix of the rustic and the indulgent, from the trails and campfires to the hot tub and home theater system. The cabin is quaint, comfortable and clean, and was the perfect setting for a weekend "getaway." I look forward to future stays.

Awesome Location for Six Flags
We stayed in until #11. More than enough room, the kids loved the loft, full kitchen and outside grill made easy for meals. the best part was the location as our trip was geared towards Six Flags; less than 10 minutes down the road. We also went shopping at the outlets which is 15 minutes down the road. Yumei was wonderful and reimbursed the security deposit immediatey after our stay. We will definatly be back again.
Receieved the Refund. Thanks for the Great Time. Gloyd 7/7/2011
A friend rented a lodge here back in Jun 2009 & invited several guest for a cookout. At that point I know this would be one of my get away spots. I was born in NY, moved to NC., but I come back & forth to visit very often. So this spot was a great location. Overall all my stay here has been a wonderful experience. Cozy, pleasant and very special. I would recommend this terrific wilderness lodge to all my friends & family. - Tonya M April 2010
