Description of the Jacksonville Beach vacation apartment rental

The Executive Suite is an ocean view, second floor, 2 Bedroom 2 Bathroom, 1200 Square Foot Living Space. The Executive Suite is perfect for family vacations & getaway weekends with friends. Sleeping arrangements for 1 - 8 persons.

The King Size Master Bedroom Suite enjoys a sunrise ocean view. This bedroom features a 32" LCD Television, with DVD Player & Audio System. A collection of critically acclaimed DVD's is at hand for cinema fans.

The Double Size Sunset Bedroom features a 32" LCD Television, with DVD Player & Audio System.

Both bedrooms feature 600 Count Bed Linens with Non Allergenic Duvets & Fleece Blankets on Pillow Top Mattresses, with dimmable lighting & ceiling fans.

The large ocean view Living Room & Dining Room space is convertible to increase the sleeping capacity of the Executive Suite. Two Double Size Futons are surrounded by retractable full length privacy curtains; each sleeping cubicle has its own dimmable pendant lighting.

The Living Room entertainment area features a 32 Inch LCD Television with DVD Player, Audio System & iPod dock. Satellite & Cable TV programming including NFL Sunday Ticket, NHL Center Ice & Gol TV, and a collection of critically acclaimed films on DVD. A games table with dimmable pendant lighting and a selection of card & board games. Enjoy the latest volume of La Palmeraie Quarterly, our soundtrack magazine for your listening pleasure.

The Dining Area has a sunny southern exposure and seating for six.

In the Kitchen expectations are met with stove, fridge, icemaker, dishwasher, microwave oven, coffeemaker & toaster. Expectations are surpassed with a waffle iron, blender, toaster oven, sink disposal, herbs & spices, cooking oil, condiments, coffee, tea, creamer and other kitchen stock basics. A workstation island gives more counter workspace and provides a great spot for guests to socialize with the cook while seated at the island. Place Settings for 12.

Two bathrooms are furnished with Rain Shower Heads, dimmable lighting, blow dryers, soap dispensers and overstocked on Egyptian cotton bath linens.

The Office space is equipped with a desk, chair, computer, monitor & printer all included in your accommodation rate. Select an album for your listening pleasure from the library of more than 2000+ stored in the iTunes session. Free Long Distance Telephone Calls to Canada & The Continental USA, and Free Internet Access. Use the A-Z Guide of the area 's amenities and information on enjoying all of your suite 's indulgences.

A laundry room equipped with washer, dryer, iron & ironing board is stocked with laundry supplies inclusive to your accommodation rate makes longer trips away from home easier.

Your private ocean view veranda has a high top table & seating to enjoy your morning coffee or relax while you cook dinner on a gas grill.

Descend from your lofty perch to the shared garden entertainment area with seating for 10 around the stone firepit. Relax under a shade canopy on the hammock or swing seat. Park your bicycle at the shaded bicycle rack, or grab one of the free house bicycles.

A traveler to Jacksonville Beach has a multitude of accommodation options. Each property when viewed on the Internet can appear to be much the same as the next. We believe the small details and personal service make the difference.

We, as the owner/managers of La Palmeraie have 15 years of extensive worldwide business travel experience to call upon to understand the needs & wants of our clientele. For our own personal travel needs we only use vacation rentals and boutique hotels, giving us positive & negative experiences from the traveler's perspective. The considerations to & the indulgences for our guests are a reflection of cumulative experience as clients.

Pets are important members of any family; we welcome the dogs & cats in your party with dangerous breed exceptions.

We live in the neighborhood, and thus can provide valuable insight on our area, while also being available to attend to guest's needs at short notice.

Our guest's comfort & safety are our paramount concerns. We use only 600 thread count bed linens and Egyptian cotton bath linens. Our linens never come in contact with chlorine bleach in deference to sensitive skin & environmental concerns. Our linens are soaked in a Woolite solution for 24 hours and then laundered.

Unlike many hotels and vacation rental properties our cleaning service never "tops up" the clean linen count in a suite. Every single thread of bed and bath linens, including duvet covers are removed to be laundered and replaced with an all new stock of sanitized linens.

La Palmeraie is a classic Florida beach house originally constructed in 1933, as the family abode for the then mayor Gonzalez. In 2004 La Palmeraie was extensively renovated, commencing an entirely new chapter in this historic home's story.

The house is divided into 3 apartments, each with their own discrete separate entrance to ensure each guest's privacy. The ground floor of the house is comprised of the Master Suite, and the Garden Suite. The entire second floor is occupied by the Executive Suite.

During the extensive renovation process, entirely new kitchens and bathrooms were installed in each unit. All infrastructure systems were replaced with the highest efficiency equipment available. When possible, the period original treatments in each suite have been refurbished to preserve the character of the space while adding high standards of modern design, features & conveniences.

A series of factors combined make Jacksonville Beach an ideal spot to escape to for a relaxing get away.

Jacksonville Beach is situated on a narrow island east of the Intra-Coastal Waterway, resulting in a limited amount of developable land. Since 2004 Jacksonville Beach's development code has not allowed for construction of buildings over 35 feet in height; the result is restricted development and unlike our other beachside towns in Florida; a dearth of skyscrapers abutting the beach, allowing for great views and access.

The building height restriction does not allow for high-rise hotel development, keeping crowds to a minimum; visitors can easily get a seat in the best restaurants and not pay exorbitant prices.

Shopping, Restaurants, Nightclubs, Services & Conveniences are set amongst a bicycle & pedestrian friendly street plan. Jacksonville Beach has relaxed pace of life with a beach among the best in the state.

Speaking of our beach... Wide flat white sandy beaches with a protective barrier of Sea Oat covered dunes. Swim, Surf, Fish or go Shelling, while enjoying Public Beach access on every block, Public Washrooms, Lifeguards, Picnic Pavilions and no vehicular traffic on the sand.

Jacksonville Beach is 30 minutes away from Jacksonville International Airport with easy air connections from Charlotte on US Airways, New York on Jet Blue, Nashville on Southwest, Dallas on American, Atlanta on Delta, Newark on Continental, Chicago on United, Denver on Frontier, Memphis & Detroit on Northwest, Kansas City on Express Jet.

My Husband and I really enjoyed our stay at La Palmeraie. We appreciated the beautiful linens and egyptian cotton towels. Our unit was spotless. We were very surprised to see all of the gourmet condiments stocked in our kitchen and all of the cooking utensils. The owner was very courteous and was always around when we needed him. We had our own private enclosed courtyard which was great since we brought along our dog and he could roam around without having to tie him up. The beautiful sandy beach was only a 2 minute walk away which was very convenient since we could walk back and forth to our unit without getting in a car. And my husband who doesn't like to lie on the beach very long could leave when he wanted to and didn't have to wait for me. We are both avid outdoors people and did a lot of running, roller blading and cycling (the bikes were provided). Jacksonville Beach is a great vacation spot. I would hight recommend it!

My friends and I were very impressed with La Palmeraie. The pictures of the apartment are very accurate. We had more ammenities available to us than we even knew about. It was great to not have to worry about what we would need when we arrived. We simply relaxed and enjoyed our vacation.
