Description of the Jaco vacation cottage rental

Directly on the ocean, there's always a breeze and some of the best surf in Costa Rica at our newly renovated beach house in Playa Esterillos Centro. Walk the deserted beach, surf or watch birds, fish, bike ride, rent a 4-wheeler, horseback ride, or just do nothing while you snooze in a hammock. Enjoy dinners on our large covered patio, marvel at the breathtaking sunsets and sleep soundly in our air conditioned bedrooms. Tastefully decorated, with 2 bedrooms, modern gourmet kitchen, large bathroom with shower and hot water, 15 ft. covered furnished stone patio, outside shower and internet, our house is one of only 5 on our dead-end dirt road. The Auberge "La Felicidad" a 2 mins. walk, offers a small restaurant. Get away from it all while still only 20 mins. from Jaco and 40 mins from Quepos. Cleaning services provided.

Area Information

Esterillos Centro on Costa Rica's desirable Central Pacific coast is a quiet little beach town minutes from Esterillos Oeste home of several discos, quaint restaurants and a small but fully stocked supermarket and 20 minutes from the bustling tourist town of Jaco famous for its surfing, hotels and restaurants. About 40 minutes to the south are Quepos and Manual Antonio National Park where great restaurants, casinos and one of Costa Rica's most beautiful national parks offer a change of pace from the lazy days at our cottage on the beach. Find everything you need in Paritta 10 to 15 mins. from our house or wait for the local fish and fruit vendors who often show up at our door.

Perfect Vacation

My sister, mom and I had such a lovely time down at your home in Costa Rica! It was perfectly relaxing with morning swims, afternoon reading on the porch and evening walks on the beach. It was a great jumping off point for other excursions as well. The car rental, and all the logistics actually, were incredible easy and smooth. Like a Dream

My boyfriend and I stayed at this beach house for about ten days at the end of March. It was a dream vacation for us. A perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. My favorite spot was sitting in the hammock reading my books. We rode the gardeners horse on te beach at sunset one day. All the neighbors were super nice and informative. Perfect tour guides. This was a very safe area and a beautiful little sanctuary. I would reccomend to anyone interested in some R & R and some culture. Thank you SO much Pamela. We had a great time!

Fabulous week in Esterillos!

We LOVED our week at Pamela's place in quiet, beautiful Esterillos. My husband, our 11-year old twins, and I played in the ocean, searched for crabs near the estuary, rode the neighborhood horse, lounged in the hammock, ate at the restaurant a few doors down, and enjoyed the lovely, peaceful front porch of the house for our meals. We also had a great time on the monkey tour and zipline adventure; it was so convenient to have Claudette right on the road to set that all up. Thanks for introducing us to this wonderful place!

Semana Santa vacation on tranquil beach

My boyfriend and I stayed in this quaint beach house over easter break. The weather was perfect, a balmy 95 degrees every day with a light wind that was perfect for lying in our hammock and enjoying the gorgeous ocean views. We rented a 4wd and drove up and down the coast. The house is close to some small supermarkets and to Jaco, Manuel Antonio and Quepos. We recommend eating at the local favorite "Los Almendros." Our favorite parts of the vacation were spent on our beautiful private beach. Even during Semana Santa there were never more than a dozen people there. The neighbors (there are only 5 houses on the beach) were all very friendly. There is a small restaurant literally next door, but we spent a lot of time cooking and enjoying meals on the beautiful patio. We hope to come back soon!

I must be dreaming!

Those were my words everytime I stepped out the front door to the magnificient views of the Pacific. Endless beauty for miles. A great place to do everything, or nothing at all. Swimming, fishing, hanging with the monkeys at the amazing Manuel Antonio Park and flying through the jungle on a zip line were some of the many activities that we enjoyed. The great thing is that they were all within a 45 minute drive! Mangos picked from the tree in the backyard for breakfast every morning,along with a morning swim in the ocean,and a gentle rocking by the hammock every evening were the icing on an already perfect cake! I will continue to dream of Costa Rica until I return again soon. Pura Vida!

Living the Life!

Looking out the front door and seeing the Pacific gently crashing onto a beach just steps away. Sitting on a stone patio listening to the sounds of nature surrounding your world. Meeting a host of warm and wonderful people in the everywhere you look. Knowing a little piece of heaven. Just 20 minutes from bustling Jacó, and 45 minutes from National Park Manuel Antonio, Canopy tours, boats to Isla Tortuga, and so much more. A beautiful combination of having activities when you want them and then going "home" to your quiet place at the beach. It is totally "living the life".

What I would do to be back on that hammock swinging while watching my husband surf the perfect waves. We loved staying at this great rental house on a very quite dead end street right on the ocean! If I close my eyes and turn the heat up, I can still hear the birds and crashing of waves.

We had a wonderful time at the house. I can't think of a better place to spend a week in Costa Rica. It was so relaxing. The perfect get away. The location was great too- Enough activities close by but also the perfect escape to sit back and relax on a hammock. A week wasn't enough- next time I am going to have to stay longer!!!
