Description of the Jasper vacation cabin rental

Misty Creek sits on 5 gently rolling acres, on the banks of Big Creek – at the junction of Hwys. 374 and 123, near Scenic Highway 7 south of Jasper, Arkansas. Swim in the creek, or drive 4 miles to the Buffalo River for swimming, canoeing and kayaking. Enjoy the firepit at night, and outdoor grilling on the patio. You can drive golf balls off the patio onto a 149-yard or a 198-yard bermuda grass fairway. RV parking is allowed, but there are no RV amenities. Best view of Red Rock Point, and only approx. 5 miles to rock climbing at Sam's Throne.

Area Description

The Buffalo River is the most scenic and exciting river in the Ozarks. Misty Creek is in the river valley, close to several landings on the river -- Pruitt and Carter Landings. The famous rock climbing excursion, Sam's Throne, is only a few miles away. There are many hiking trails close by.

Perfect Getaway Weekend, May 6, 2009

This cabin was the perfect getaway. We usually camp, but we knew it was going to be a wet weekend and found this cabin on the internet. The owner was extremely fast to get back with me and was very helpful and courteous. The cabin was beautiful and spacious. All the amenities were nice, new and clean. Beds were comfortable and everything we forgot was already there for us. Being animal people we loved that there were several friendly cats and dogs that hung around outside. Since our float trip was rained out, it was nice to have the cabin to stay dry, watch tv and play games in. With Branson only an hour drive for shopping and Mystic Caverns close for a cave tour, the girls did not get bored. The guys had fun hitting golf balls, fishing and building a fire outside. We will definately be back here for a visit!

We enjoyed every minute on your property from the creek to to the fire pit. We even enjoyed sitting outside on the patio during a few thunderstorms. You just don't get this fresh air in the city. Love the nights here. The cicadas are great. The fireflies are cool, enjoyed the whipoorwills. But best of all...the frogs the BOING like a mouth harp. Golfing was OK, but too many hazards (woods, creek,etc.) :-) Wonderfully outfitted cabin. Well done!

Two families, each with a young daughter, found the escape from city life to be just what we were hoping for. We went to Pruitt Landing and found a secluded bank to sit and play with just the perfect part of the Buffalo to wade & swim and for the mommies to sunbathe on floate....We were impressed with the local quality food.
