Description of the Jay Peak vacation home rental

Hidden away on 3 acres of land with its own brook and woods is this 100 year old farmhouse which has been restored and converted into a vacation rental property.

This spring and summer, bring the family and discover the beauty, superb climate and just sheer fun of a Vermont summer vacation. Step out the back door and hike through the mountains and pastures of a private 200 acre preserve or drive 6 minutes to a championship golf course at Jay Peak Resort. In other words, there is so much to do or nothing at all when you vacation at the Brookside Farmhouse.

High speed internet access, satellite TV, pool table and more await family and friends seeking to escape the stress of modern life as they vacation in our wonderful Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.

Area Description

Whether coming to enjoy all winter sports or in summer excellent trout fishing, golf, horseback riding, antiquing, swimming in natural swimming holes where children jump from glacier rocks into crystal clear rivers....the Jay Peak area of northern Vermont is arguably the most beautiful and unspoilt area of Vermont. Visit the 7 covered bridges in the Montgomery Center area, meet the locals and don't be surprised if you see a sign on the door saying "there is more than 6 inches of fresh powder so we are on the slopes...come back tomorrow" which is all part of the charm of this quintessential Vermont village.

If excitement and nightlife is required, take a drive across the border and visit downtown Montreal, a 1 1/2 hour drive to the northwest.

cute place, gracious host, March 9, 2008
By Tammy (new york city, ny)
pros: comfortably cozy; adorably decorated; had everything we needed; nice big foyer for ski/snowboard gear storage; great price; nice and accommodating host(s). cons: only two bathrooms for a house that sleeps 14; the arch/door ways are meant for people under 6 feet tall.
