Write a review Excellent Situation:Attractive buildings, little traffic with a short walk to a row of shops including a 24 hour Supermarket... In the other direction a short walk brings you to New Gate one of the entrances to the Old City.Then, a short walk through the Christian Quarter brings you to the first of the 14 Stations of the Cross which recall the traditional route taken by Jesus to his crucifixion. After that you can enjoy the glorious variety of the Armenian, Jewish and Moslem Quarters. Generous Space:The dining room, sitting room and kitchen are inter-connected with high ceilings. We were two but there is plenty of space and beds for lots more people. The generosity of the space is matched by the generosity of the kitchen with every piece of equipment one could possibly need, and of the bedrooms especially the Queen size double bed where the Queen of Sheba surely stayed when she visited Jerusalem. Thoughtful Service:Sarah,the owner, rang us before we left the UK to explain the glorious variety of Jerusalem and answer our questions. She asked us to ring her from the airport. When we rang she advised us to avoid expensive taxis and find a shared taxi which is much cheaper. By the time we arrived it was 1.00 AM but she was waiting to welcome us and explain the facilities. During our stay she welcomed our telephone calls for further information. On our final morning she arranged for a shared taxi to the airport. If you want to enjoy Jerusalem, this is place for you! We were four persons staying at this apartment for two weeks in July 2009. The apartment is clean, modern, comfortable and spacious for four or even for six people with a full kitchen and dining room. Two bedrooms have also much room with closets. The washer and dryer is a big plus especially during such hot time of the year. The location is perfect as to short walking distances to the main sights and holy places as well as for easy access to the roads leading in and out of Jerusalem. Our family of four recently spent 9 days in the apartment. It is within a short walking distance of the Old City and the Ben Yehuda Street area. Parking for our rental car was available at a low cost close by. Much better value than a hotel which would cost at least twice as much. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable with a full kitchen. You can also do your laundry with the washer and dryer which is a big plus. The wireless internet worked well and is included. The location provides for easy access to the roads leading in and out of Jerusalem. There are also small grocery stores within a few minutes walk to buy the basics. We will definitely stay there again. We were a bit concerned booking over the internet yet were most pleased with the overall experience. The apartment was clean, well maintained and spacious. It exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect for our needs being walking distance to the Old City, Ben Yehuda and our sons Yeshiva. We would highly recommend this property and stay there again upon future visits to Jerusalem. The apt was much more convenient than a stay at a hotel. We paid the price of a hotel room, but got a value of 2 bedrooms a living room, a kitchen, washer/dryer, and dining room. The apt. is clean, modern, and pretty close to everything. The owner let us leave our bags at the apt at 9 am even though our check in wasnt until 11. We had to meet our tour guide before than and were coming from tel aviv so the owner met us at the apt and gave us the keys immdiatly. Great experience. This apartment is located in such a way that one can easily explore all the major sights and sites in the Old City. It is also a perfect location for exploring downtown W. Jerusalem. The neighborhood is quiet and the ambient architecture very pleasing. The apartment is spacious and very well equipped, including internet acccss and wide-screen television. Ideal for a quiet retreat or a family vacation. Great location. Quiet neighborhood. Seems to mostly mixed religious and professional. 7 minutes walk to New Gate of old city, 8 minutes to Jaffa Gate. 7 minutes to Ben Yehuda (cafes, bars, shopping). Also 7 minutes to Jaffa Road, where you are 1 or 2 buses from anywhere in Jerusalem. 10 minutes to the shuk and when you return with your groceries you are walking downhill. 4 minutes to an attractive small park, where our family did not fare as well as expected in a pickup soccer game. The apartment itself is nice and clean. Kitchen has milk and meat dishes. We were 6 and the apartment could comfortably have contained 2-3 more. The contact (Sarah) was scrupulously honest and quite helpul in all respects. Highly recommended!!
