Totally Wonderful!!!

December 27, 2012

Rachel is amazing! She was a delight to work with in the reservation process and even though our flight was terribly delayed, she waited patiently on us and even made sure we had some snacks to get us through Shabbat (we arrived just before Shabbat began) and made us feel like the apt. was our own home. It is roomy, clean and well apportioned. The location is amazing! We were near everything! I almost don't want to recommend it too highly because I fear it will booked and hard to reserve when we visit Jerusalem again. We are recommending it to those we know that are wanting to visit Jerusalem in the future and I can't imagine spending time looking for other accommodations when we return. If you want a tourist experience need a bell-hop, a concierge or your bed turned down for you then check out the King David; but, if you want to experience Jerusalem as a resident then this is the place for you. If you have questions, Rachel will be glad to answer - or - if you'd like my opinion, feel free to contact me.

We Had a Wonderful Stay!

June 24, 2012

I'm so glad we decided to rent an apt.  We were 20 minutes walk to the old city and a 5 minute walk took you to the light rail which took you directly to the Jaffa Gate probably 5-8 minutes ride. The buses were also available. Our host was available to us if we had any questions as well.  Tel Aviv was a 30 - 40 minute drive away (if you rented a car) depending on traffic.  Both TVs worked well but we rarely watched anything (we were too exhausted at the end of the day!).  We did most of our shopping at the Jehuda market 5 minutes walk. It was nice to have fresh salmon every day! The apt was well air conditioned and you had a beautiful view of Jerusalem from the windows from the eighth floor.   You had outdoor cafes and coffee places within walking distance and a 24 hour convenience store around the corner.  It was easy to refill our sims card with a merchant not to far away as well.   The apt was comfortable and in a secured building.  We would recommend this apt!

Great time

May 21, 2012

The apartment is in a great location and provided us with the opportunity to be immersed in Jewish culture and life. We were able to walk into the Old City, had easy access to all transportation and knew that if we should have any problems that Rachel was just a phone call away....and we had NO problems... We felt we got a lot for our money We enthusiastically recommend this apartment!

A wonderful apartment

April 19, 2012

We visited Jerusalem in Mach'2012 for a wedding of my niece. We found this apartment on the Vacation Hom rentals site & it really met all our requirements: it's ideally clean, very sacious, neat & cosy. There is a lot of various kitchen utensils, it's Kosher! In terms of location you won't find anything better: the Old City is just around 10-15 minutes on foot or several minutes by a new tram, which is already an adventure! A huge market with all its delicacies is only 5 minutes on foot! Parking lot is just beside the house! The only misfortune we had is that the oven didn't work! Hopefully, Rachel & Nakhum will find time to mend it! All the rest is impeccable! My recomendation is to choose this apartment whenever you wand to see Jerusalem from its best side! Julia

We enjoyed our stay at this apartment, since all major streets were around the corner. Walking distance to Machaneh Yehuda was a true treat. The apartment was well stocked and clean. Would highly recommend it.

Warm, comfy, clean and ideally located

December 3, 2011

This apartment is ideally located a short walk from the Machane Yehuda shuk and the shops and restaurants of Ben Yehudah and Jaffo Street. The apartment is bright and clean and features 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, an ample living rm/dining rm, well equipped kitchen and a laundry room with washing machine. Also 2 TVs and wireless internet are provided along with the use of a shabbat elevator. Beds were comfortable and showers worked well with sufficient hot water. We were 2 couples and there was plenty of room and privacy. Would be ideal for a family with 2 to 4 chilkdren. The host (Rachel) was warm, attentive and easy to deal with. The new light rail and bus stops are close. The old city and kotel are a 30 min walk, or 20 min. after a short light rail ride. Taxi fare to and from the old city is 40NIS. Easy bus ride to Israel Museum and light rail to Yad Vashem.
