Brand new condo, 6 floors only - we are on the sixth floor - white ceramic and modern design. On the best street of Cabo Branco, the quietest area of Joao Pessoa beachfront. You can go to beach barefoot (40 meters). Best restaurants right around the block.
Brazil is a hot destination. North East offers the most beautiful beaches and a launch pad for many explorations: Amazonia, Brasilia, Peru, Rio, Argentina. Joao Pessoa is Brazil best kept secret: a city of 800K inhabitants with a human scale beachfront (no Miami or Rio style). Capital of Paraiba State, the second greenest city in the world after Paris (UNESCO), and the most oriental point of Americas
(4.200 Km from Ivory Coast, Africa) People are always nice.(but speak only Portuguese) Weather is the same all year round: between 28 and 32 Celsius. Direct European flights reach Natal or Recife (both cities 1 1/2 hour by bus/taxi). Infrastructure, public transportation, taxis, health care are all first class. Cost of living is FAR below North America or Europe. This is a true tropical destination, astonishingly clean and secure - right under the Equator - without most of the problems normally associated to such latitudes. A fantastic family place.
The first time I visited this place.. I decided to make it my secondary home! And I have traveled a lot!

Kids friendly restaurants. Best beef from Argentina. Beach restaurants so nice, especially with the evening breeze, and SO affordable. Outstanding catch of the day. Fantastic tours by dune buggy, with guide; less than one hour North and South, with dolphins, coral reefs, tropical fishes, canyons, long deserted beaches, warm and friendly waters...and everywhere friendly locals who speak only Portuguese, but understand Spanish! In two days you won't feel like tourists anymore...and won't see many of them altogether!

I stayed in the Cabo Branco apartment for four weeks with my husband, a friend, and my 4 year old son. We loved the place, it really felt both like a home and like a beach vacation house. The apartment is right off of the beach - perfect, really, because the beach avenue itself is too noisy to be comfortable on. And the beach were the apartment is situated (Cabo Branco) really is one of, if not the, nicest places along the shoreline of Joao Pessoa. There is a wide sidewalk with little beach bars and good restaurants, and the road is closed to traffic from 5:00 am to 8:00 every morning so that people can run, walk and bike around. The beach in front of the apartment is also lovely - several kilometers of white sand and not very many people in any given place. If you're looking for a family vacation place in Joao Pessoa, this apartment is perfect.
