Much needed break, October 30, 2009
By Joe & Deb (Bethlehem, PA)
Just what was the Dr ordered. It was a pleasant and very peaceful vacation. Relaxing on the front porch watching the sunset over the bay in peace and quite while enjoying a good glass of wine, couldn't be beat. The cabin was spacious and very well equipped. We look forward to coming back!

 Perfect Honeymoon, August 19, 2009
By Joe and Mandy Simons (Stephens City, Virginia USA)
The weeks leading up to our wedding were extremely hectic, so this was the perfect place to recoup! We canoed the bay at high tide, biked around, explored the beach, and spent a few hours watching eagles and osprey from the porch. We also made a couple of day trips to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The cabin itself is full of woodsy-seaside charm and left us wanting for nothing. The only disappointment was that the gobs of blueberries growing in the fields are not to be picked as they are owned by local farmers... but the ones we bought from the roadside stand were delicious! We definitely plan on returning to this small slice of perfection!

 a piece oof paradise, July 27, 2009
By jwoitun (nyc)
We spent a very relaxing week in this attractive cabin--highly recommended! Tucked away in the woods, with just the right amount of shade and sun. Beautiful view onto tidal water. The cabin feels spacious, and it has plenty of creature comforts to feel cozy during rainy weather. For us--we are musicians--it was heavenly to have absolute quiet, only interuupted by nature sounds.

 Relaxation Maine-style, June 19, 2009
By Erin Scoggins (Saint Petersburg, FL)
A week up in that cabin was exactly what we needed. The location was perfect for numerous day trips of hiking, shopping, and exploring the northeast corner of our country. The seafood right from the docks in Jonesport was wonderful and the cabin had everything we needed to unwind from the craziness of normal day-to-day life. Even though it rained and was a lot chillier than Florida weather I'm used to, the cabin was a great place to be for the week. I will definitely try to come back again in the future!

 Paradise, September 25, 2008
By Bob and Lynn Hone (Yardley, PA)
In 1854, Thoreau wrote that divinity was present in nature and the human soul. Fast forward to 2008. This cabin was “Walden” with modern amenities. If you love beauty and nature, the ebb and flow of tides, lobsters fresh from the sea and tranquility; this is your destination. Our stay was a journey of discovery and rediscovery. Thanks for sharing your paradise.

Log Cabin, Jonesport, September 23, 2008
By Tiffiny (Brockton, MA)
Me and three of my friends rented this cabin for a week and had an amazing time! The cabin was extremely clean and cozy. Everything you would need was supplied; towels, dishes, trash bags, etc. The view was beautiful from the back porch and the little fire pit in the front was nice as well. I would highly recomend this cabin to anyone who is looking for a nice relaxing week! Also the owner Mr. Gandy is one of the easiest people to work with, he made sure that everything was all set for us and I thank him for that!

Best Vacation EVER, September 2, 2008
By Joe Fogel (Lakewood, NJ)
I was expecting something nice. I was wowed. I have 4 small children ages 3 to 8, they can't stop talking about the cabin. The master bedroom with its own bath was a great luxory away from home. The cabin is cozy yet roomy enough for all of us. The water is perfect for little kids, we were able to let our kids walk way out and splash around, they didn't want to leave. Nearby you have Roques Bluff state park and Acadia is a manageable drive away. The place is well equiped and Nathan (the owner) very gracious and accomodating. Rent this place, you won't regret it. We hope to visit again.

 Peaceful, August 10, 2008
By Ben (Hartford, cT)
A very quiet and peaceful spot. Not much to explore at low tide as the ground is mostly mud, but Wass Island is about 10 minutes away and a beautiful place to hike. The cabin is spectacular. Very clean, comfortable, we made ourselves at home.
