Description of the Jonesport vacation cottage rental

The cottage is seated directly on the ocean and provides a spectacular view. The property faces east offering gorgeous sunrises and at sunset; the ocean turns iridescent with colors that change nightly. Bald eagles, seals and many sea birds frequent the area. A Puffin watch tour is available through Capt. Norton in Jonesport [ it's good to have reservations]. The location is superb for bird watchers, nature lovers, artists and any person looking to unwind in a natural setting. This is Maine the way it was 25 years ago: unspoiled beauty.

Jonesport is a quaint fishing village known for its famous lobster harvest. It is situated halfway between Acadia National Park and Campabello Island, both popular tourist destinations. Hiking trails, puffin tours, excellent birdwatching, kayaking, and relative proximity to shopping areas in Acadia and Ellsworth make this spot ideal for daytrippers.

The rental experience was absolutely wonderful. The cost was well with in reason, and the owners a pleasure to work with! I would recommend this location to anyone who wants to experience downeast Maine from the comfort of a cozy cottage on the ocean.  more...

We stayed here for a week in Mid June. The cottage is absolutely adorable, and the sunrises are just fantastic. Lots of things to do in the area, and NOT overcrowded. The best of Maine! Excellent communications with owners! Had a wonderful time, and enjoyed the property very much!  more...
