The guestroom is a clean, private room with its own entrance. You have complete privacy to enjoy your stay but if you need something there will always be somebody available to help. In the bedroom is a queen-sized bed, a writing desk, and an additional bed if needed. There is wireless internet if you would like to use it. Through the french doors is a spacious tile bathroom with twelve foot ceilings and a skylight. Through the other door is a small kitchenette with a small refrigerator. Just outside is a private area for sitting in the sun or watching the stars. The room is great for one person and it could accommodate three or four persons if need be, but it is perfect for a couple.

The guestroom is located one mile from downtown Joshua Tree and three miles from the Joshua Tree National Park by trail (four miles by road). Less than a half of a mile away is a canyon filled with hundreds of petroglyphes. The house is on a very unique location. It sits on a paved road just one mile from downtown Joshua Tree which makes it easy to get to with any car. Plus there is a trail that leads into the Joshua Tree National Park right from the door. You really can hike into the Joshua Tree National Park. Click on the visiting tab if you need to know about the location of Joshua Tree.

Joshua Tree is the name of the strange tree-like plant native to the area, the national park and the residential area north of that. This is all about two and a half hours drive from Los Angeles, Orange County, or San Diego and about 40 minutes from Palm Springs. If you follow HWY 10 East toward Palm Springs you take the HWY 62 Exit about when you see the windmills. Follow the signs all the way up the HWY 62 to Park BLVD where downtown Joshua Tree is and follow that up to the West Park Entrance. The closest international airports are the Palm Springs Airport and The Ontario Airport.
