Area Information

Juan Dolio was formerly a small fishing village with beach which, little by little, for its excellent geographical position, is has become a major tourist destination for the Dominican Republic.
It has some beautiful beaches with lovely views of tropical and protected by a coral a short distance from the shore reef, which make them ideal for exploring the underwater life through snorkeling and diving. It is a somewhat less crowded than Boca Chica Beach, so it is also a good option if you want to avoid the saturamiento.
