Description of the Kailua vacation home rental
The Happy Kailua Beach House is located 1/2 block down from Kalama Beach Park; a small, clean local beach park which has showers, restrooms, and a nice grassy area with picnic benches. The waves at the beach are as gentle as the soothing trade winds, and the white sand is as soft as flour.

Our house offers you a place to relax and unwind, barbeque on the lanai with family and friends, or just nap the day away... It is a newer home on quiet Hauoli street with hardwood floors throughout, a spacious main room and kitchen area, a master bedroom with private full bathroom, two guest bedrooms with another full bathroom, and a lanai with 1/2 bath and yard out back. We have towels, beach chairs, coolers, toys, and boogie boards for your use on Kailua Beach. Since it takes just three minutes to walk to the beach, you'll never have an excuse not to be there!

Downtown Kailua with its coffee houses, great restaurants, and shops is near enough to go by foot or beach cruiser.

Enjoy your stay in paradise!

Area Info
Kailua is the second largest town on Oahu, very close to Honolulu but nothing like it in terms of size, feel, and flavor. Kailua blends comforts like great restaurants, markets, coffee shops and shops with a small town feel. This is the antidote for mainland stress.

There are barely any buildings over two stories in all of Kailua, and the people are relaxed and friendly. My wife and I fell in love with the community, the gentle breezes, and, of course, the beach. The star attraction of Kailua is its world-class white sand beach, void of rocks, coral, big waves or rip tides. Your feet will love it here! It is a great beach for kids of all ages, and safe for the little ones.

Come to Kailua and discover the real Hawaii!

The waves on Kailua Beach are not too big, not too small and are fantastic for both boogie boarding and body surfing. We have boards available for our tenants for both kids and adults. But of course the beach is best for power lounging!

With our two young children and a friend/nanny joining us for part of the trip, this was the perfect house for our vacation. The house was very clean and is ½ block from the Kailua beach and in a quiet neighborhood. The owners have stocked the house nicely with furnishings, everything one would need in the kitchen, a nice flat screen TV, stereo system with an iPod docking station, and the outdoor storage is loaded with sand toys, boogie boards, coolers, mats, lounge chairs, and sun umbrellas. My son enjoyed taking the red, monster truck to the beach every day and my daughter spent her afternoons filling up the buckets with sand. The beaches and waves are the perfect size for small children and I fell in love with Lanikai beach. What a beautiful place. The layout of the house is comfortable and the bedrooms are situated nicely with the master at one end of the hall and the kids room at the other end of the hall. All of the bedrooms have air conditioning, which made sleeping extra comfortable.

We have spent many vacations on several of the islands and we thoroughly enjoyed Kailua. The people are friendly and the town does not feel touristy at all. If you watch Lost, you may run into an actor or two in town. I saw âHurleyâ while driving back from the grocery store. The sunrises are beautiful and one morning, I walked from the Happy Kailua house to the âgreen little grocery storeâ along the beach, got a latte, and walked back. It was a two to three mile walk and was very enjoyable. The owners have a guest book at the house with lots of restaurant recommendations, best places to go, etc. When we wanted a change of scenery and pace, we drove 20 minutes to Honolulu to visit the zoo, aquarium, and beach. We will definitely be back! Enjoy the Happy Kailua House as it is a special place.

We thoroughly enjoyed living like "kama'ainas" at the Happy Kailua Beach House. The home was so comfortable and cozy for our party of two couples and a toddler. The living areas were very clean and well equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The owners were delightful to work with and accomodating in every way. We highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of traditional hotel vacations. It gives you the opportunity to experience life as a resident, rather than just a tourist

Staying at the Happy Kailua Beach House was a wonderful experience. The business transaction was smooth, the house itself was everything that it was said to be (clean, well stocked, comfortable beds, great location in a family neighborhood and a great uncrowded beach close by) I would recommend this house to anyone especially with small children as there is a yard for them to play in and toys for the beach. Our family just returned from a memorable trip to Oahu (10/08). The Happy Kailua Beach House was a delightful vacation rental and we highly recommend it.

The owners of this home were friendly and gracious. The home's location is just a short walk from Kailua Beach and a short drive to wonderful restaurants and shopping. It is also well equipped with everything you could need; from laundry facilities to every imaginable beach necessity.

Our group consisted of two adult couples and one toddler. The layout of the home provided a great amount of privacy, space and comfort for all (as two of the bedrooms were separated by the two baths). The living room/dining room areas were comfortable, cozy and most of all very clean.

It was our pleasure to spend the week at the Happy Kailua Beach house. We look forward to returning again and again.

Great location. The house is set back, so there's hardly any traffic noise. Hearing the neighbors on occasion contributed to being in a neighborhood, not a tourist resort. The house is clean and cozy and our family enjoyed being there. Definitely would go back and would recommend to others.
