Summer Interns at Sea Life Park

Niki the owner is awesome!! We were looking for accomodations for 9 girls that were working a summer internship at Sea Life Park from May-Aug 2012 and he was wonderful! He even changed the bedding in the rooms so that each girl could have their own bed and had his caretakers pick the girls up from the airport for a minimal charge. There experience was wonderful and in part I believe that Niki had a great deal to do with it! The house is very close to a beautiful beach and he has caretakers on property to make sure that your stay will be wonderful. I would definitely give this home a high recommendation.

We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and well thought out floor plan of this home. We had to accommodate quite a few people for our family reunion....and a few unexpected add ons. The house flows well, complete with a few out of the way nooks for some quiet time. It is situated on a corner lot of a neighborhood. The beach is a five minute walk away. The town of Kailua is 5 minutes walk in the other direction. There's lots to do, without being in crazy congested Waikiki. The property manager is friendly and accommodating. The two things you have to be aware of are being respectful of your neighbors, due to the proxity of your surroundings. Plus, the washing machine is difficult to operate. That's it! Enjoy! :)

Close to beach, friendly, a little funky

We rented the upstairs 3 bedrooms/3ba and kitchen for one week before Christmas. When we booked in October we were grateful to find a house available in this busy season. Positives: 150 yds from the Kailua Beach park, ~1mi south of Lanikai Beach, coffee shop/ limited grocery across the street, shave ice surf shop 150 yds away, friendly onsite owners, great off street secure parking, beach towels/equipment provided. House was cleaned and prepared for our arrival. Negatives: House had been previously remodeled with fairly low budget finish (uneven countertop, mismatched cabinets etc) One bedroom had queen matress over a double box spring and frame leaving the overhanging edges unsupported easy to roll out of bed. Road noise for 2 bedrooms was an issue as the morning commuters accelerated from the nearby intersection from 7-8AM. Sugar ants in the kitchen and discovery of 7, one inch sized roaches in kitchen and 2 bedrooms prompted us to invest $20 in traps which eliminated the problem for the remainder of our trip. Overall we had a good time and the Kailua is a fantastic area, but I will explore other homes more that 2 months ahead of our planned trip next time.

Thank you Joe for staying with us and for taking the time to write the review. Queen size bed over smaller bed frame was arranged on purpose to avoid bumping into the corners of a metal frame and hurting one’s sheens.
We did indeed have ants problems after over 2 months of no rain period. Ants come into the house in search of water in sink or bathtub drains. I was fighting daily with them in the eco friendly ways ( using baby powder and some boric acid, looking and eliminating nesting areas)
Bugs are present in any tropical places and can be treated drastically with heavy chemicals, but I believe that it hurts humans as well. I will continue eco-friendly, slower method of keeping the house bugs free.

This is an exceptionally clean and well organized vacation rental. Digital locks and automatic gate provide excellent security and privacy. The fabulous Kailua Beach is steps away, one can walk in his swimming suit. It's a great and economical place for a couple but they can accommodate larger groups as well. Highly recommended.

The Coral House is a very clean spacious house. It is the perfect place to take a group of people. There is a large communtiy kitchen for meals and nice private sleeping quarters. Just a short walk to the beach. I plan to go back very soon!! Very affordable. It's also a lovely place for two.

We held our wedding at this property and rented it out for our families flying in from the mainland. Words cannot express the absolute beauty of this vacation property. It is such a private location with breathtaking views all around! Kendra was such a pleasure to work with, the communication we had, all the help she gave us was priceless. We are already trying to plan our next trip back to this property. If I could recommend any property, I would DEFINITELY recommend this one. The house was spacious enough to accommodate our family. I was very happy with ammenities provided such as boogie boards, sand toys, kitchen supplies. I felt the linens could be upgraded both bed and towels. There was an ant issue, and we were left a note to turn ceiling fans off. The house has no air conditioning and the ceiling fans helped keep the house comfortable, so they did need to be running to keep air circulating. Over all, our trip was very enjoyeable.
