Don't be fooled if you don't know -- lower is hotter and closer to the ocean is more traffic and noise. We are about 10 minutes from the beach but that is a good thing!
At our home the elevation is just right to be about 10 degrees cooler than the sweltering oceanfront properties and with our tradewinds and the cross ventilation of ample windows and patio styled doors with big screens -- you'll enjoy every moment of natural cool fresh air many would envy (and you can hear nature instead of fans and compressors).
VCR/DVD/ DirecTV Satellite with Weather, LOCAL network (and so the local news) channels.
Private entrance, full bath with tub and shower, kitchenette with full sized frostless refrigerator, full sized stainless steel sink, hot plate, dishes, pots & pans, silver wear, iron, ironing board, blender, toaster, room alarm radio/clock, and much more.
Ample, off street parking that is just steps away to your entrance. WIFI that covers you inside or on the patio. Access to washer and dryer when you stay a week or longer.
Upon request we can place a wireless phone in your rental that gives you free unlimited LOCAL CALLS (no incoming calls) to the Big Island, all the other Hawaiian Islands, and to the MainLand USA.
Upon request, we can provide you with a roll-a-way bed (subject to prior requests or availability).

Our acre of land is situated in a neighborhood of 1 acre or larger lots -- known for peace and quiet, very much like a rural setting where you can see the stars at night.
We have coffee, banana, macadamia, papaya and star fruit trees which you can partake of when in season (well the coffee might take a bit of work!)...
People are known to go out and take morning and afternoon walks in the neighborhood. Well, some people do take runs!
Yet you can jump in the car and go up the street to a local grocery store about 2 miles away.
Go a bit further and you are at Costco Wholesale where all sorts of deals can be had, plus they have a food court with nice salads, pizza, hot dogs and sodas. The least expensive gas this side of the Island is at Costco and you are 10 minutes away.
Go down the street to the main town to make a quick trip to Wal-Mart or rent a video at BlockBuster. Here also are the large supermarkets and all the usual a city will offer like McDonalds, Taco Bell, Natural Food Markets, Farmers' Markets, independent local food restaurants, and much more.

|Deposits: We require a $65 Damage Deposit for this Apartment which is refunded back to you within seven days of your departure when you are in good standing. To get your booking on the calendar and HOLD your unit we will require at least $500 down with the balance paid 60 days before arrival if the amount is greater than $500 and if you are arriving in more than 60 days, otherwise the total amount is due at the time you book.|

|Other Fees: Your rent is calculated from a base rent plus an extra person charge. If you wish to register more than 2 occupants, please advise & pay the extra fees prior to checking in. The additional rent is $10 (plus taxes) for each person or an automatic charge of $20 for unregistered occupants. If you book only one night there is a $25 surcharge. There is no cleaning fee. We expect the rental to be left broom clean with dishes washed, trash taken out, food removed, common sense and courtesy.|

Simple and nice

This studio was perfect for our stay. They gave us EXCELLENT directions and the place was just what we expected. It was clean, had all we need and was in a nice, quiet neighborhood up the mountain. It is small, but perfectly adequate. The popcorn was a nice touch as well.
