Very Mean And Unpleasant Owner Plus Bugs And Roaches Infested Kitchen. Pool Area Nice So Was Living Room. Don't Try To Talk To The Owner - He Will Treat You Like You Are Intruder Or Not Good Enough For Him To Talk To. Laundry - Forget Asking. That Was The Time That I Tried To Talk To The Owner. Overall Very Nice Area, But I Would Find Different Place Next Time Reatal Agent - Nice Guy He Might Find You Something Else

The Bay View Pool Home is located in a high class subburb very close to Downtown Kona. The property is well maintained by the owner and very pleasant to live in. It is spacious and a lot of commodities are available, free of charge. This property has definitivelt upgraded our appreciation of our 10 days stay in Big Island. The rooms are entirely decorated with vintage tiki sculptures ans pictures. It is worth a look by itself.

There is not much to say than: this is a great appartment with a great pool in a really nice location. I absolutely enjoyed my stay. Besides Konafuntravel is doing really uncomplicated, fair and helpful work.

We really enjoyed staying here - it was clean, well decorated and had everything we needed. The owner of the home lived upstairs and was very friendly and answered any questions we had about the Big Island. We would stay here again.

The place is beautiful. The owner, "Doug" lives upstairs. Very handy because he is an encyclopedia of information regarding Kona. He stays out of your way but is readily available if you need him. The private pool is located just outside your entrance. Quiet area only a few minutes from town. Very convenient. We left a suggestion that a light be installed above the kitchen sink. Over all it was a beautiful and comfortable place.

..to far away..not flat enough to walk ..nice pool..no solar blanket too cold to go in ...place needs a good cleaning..told Dug about a huge spider web and he said"I like spiders" ...He was in the house while we were away and this is not acceptable to us.. the towels were collected but the directions said for us to put them in a basket...never did see where. ...When we arrived we said we wanted to do some washing and he crossed examined us as to why we had wash when we just arrived (none of his business,) but we told him everyone was leaving the other house and we were getting the towels done up. We finally got to do our washing the next evening ...Took two days to get warm water for showers. ... hardly enough light to read... ...need a blind on bathroom window... ...the screen door was a joke..gaped on all sides ... garbage collected the day before we left..the smell was bad. ....the decor made the house look junkie ...The beds were comfortable ! ! ! !one star for bed. ..The house that we came from, the Snorkel Bay house, was just perfect

We have just returned from a very pleaasant week at this property, we were pleased with the size of the apartment and the pool was very well kept. It was reasonably comfortable and there were plenty of towels to use, which was a good point. We did think that the crockery and glass ware could have been a little better and the lights around the pool could have been more user friendly. The enthusiasm of the owner who lives above the property was very commendable and he was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. We felt very welcome and really enjoyed our stay. Would have no trouble recommending the property to others.
We enjoyed our stay at the Bay view pool home very much! We found the per night cost very reasonable and the neighborhood is absolutely beautiful! We found the location very convenient as well. Our boys used the pool only once as we spent our time away from the home during the day usually. It was very convenient to have the kitchen to use and the tupperware and cooler were excellent additions! It was great to have the salt and pepper to use and the aluminum foil and saran wrap. Those are all little things that make a big difference when staying in a place where you're planning on making meals. (The other place we stayed at had none of those and we sure missed those conveniences!) We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!! - Morelli Family, Regina, Saskatchewan, January 2011
Excellent, centrally located to beaches and services, while remaining peaceful and quiet. Great ocean view! Exceptional value and amenities. Pool was refreshing and clean. -- Daniel D., San Francisco CA , June 2010
The place was absolutely perfect for us. A huge plus was the availability of boogie boards and beach chairs. The value was fantastic, particularly if someone is looking for the non tourist location. We are very familiar with the Big Island, and prefer to stay away from Alii and similar tourist filled locals. Great place, no cons at all, you will hear from us again. -- The Renner Family, Alaska, Fall 2010
We had a good time at the Bay Home. The owner was real helpful with information about Kona. He respected our privacy and we will recommend his place to anyone travelling in your direction. -Aloha and Mahalo Richard and Carmen Amadio; Pollock Pines, Ca, Sept. '07
We loved [the] Bay View Pool Home. The location was central yet quietly out of the way. The gardens and property were beautifully kept up and the Tiki decor was way fun--that's what attracted us to this property and it did not disappoint. And lastly, Dug, [who lives upstairs], took great care of us, giving us lots of helpful guidance and generally making us feel very welcome. I would recommend this vacation home to anybody and it will definitely be our first choice the next time we stay in Kona. Best regards, Paul and Lorraine Cooper, Grand Junction CO, Dec. '07
Aloha! We had a great time at the bay view Pool Home... We were really happy to have the beach toys and pool toys when we needed them. We'll stay here again and recommend to others. Mahalo - missing Hawaii already! -- Lu-Ann Dazey, Juneau, AK, Mar. '08
