Description of the Kailua-Kona vacation apartment rental

Beautiful home at a cool 800 foot elevation, yet only 5 minutes drive to the center of Kona Town, world class beaches, shopping and restaurants. This charming home with vintage Hawaiian "tiki" theme decorations, features a California King size bed in the bedroom plus twin bed and queen sofa bed in living area. Opens up onto large swimming pool and sun deck area with chaise lounges and tables and chairs. Cook a meal in the well stocked kitchenette or on the gas grill, then dine al fresco by the pool!

Rates: $75 - $89night ...with Jan - March at $99. Rates vary based on season, length of stay, and number in party. Different rates apply for Ironman, Christmas. Please add Hawaii state tax and cleaning fee.

Note: this is a downstairs unit in a private home with its own separate entrance and facilities. The owner, who lives upstairs, is a gentleman retired from Disney and is respectful of guests’ needs for quiet and privacy.

Your initial e-mails are welcome, but we will require a telephone chat before we finalize any contract.
We live, work, mail and bank within 4 miles from this home. TERMS: only $25 on bookings more than 100 days out, with 25% 90 and 60 days out. The balance of 50% just 20 days before arrival. We can also arrange an arrival payment.

Tiki House in Paradise Island

The Bay View Pool Home is located in a high class subburb very close to Downtown Kona. The property is well maintained by the owner and very pleasant to live in. It is spacious and a lot of commodities are available, free of charge. This property has definitivelt upgraded our appreciation of our 10 days stay in Big Island. The rooms are entirely decorated with vintage tiki sculptures ans pictures. It is worth a look by itself.

Our guests are always pleasantly surprised to find our home is located in an upscale and quiet neighborhood.
Close to town and beaches , yet quiet with wild pheasants and turkeys that will walk down the street- as if they are on patrol.

There is not much to say than: this is a great appartment with a great pool in a really nice location. I absolutely enjoyed my stay. Besides Konafuntravel is doing really uncomplicated, fair and helpful work.

Best Kona Vacation

The place is beautiful. The owner, "Doug" lives upstairs. Very handy because he is an encyclopedia of information regarding Kona. He stays out of your way but is readily available if you need him. The private pool is located just outside your entrance. Quiet area only a few minutes from town. Very convenient. We left a suggestion that a light be installed above the kitchen sink. Over all it was a beautiful and comfortable place.

We have just returned from a very pleaasant week at this property, we were pleased with the size of the apartment and the pool was very well kept. It was reasonably comfortable and there were plenty of towels to use, which was a good point. We did think that the crockery and glass ware could have been a little better and the lights around the pool could have been more user friendly. The enthusiasm of the owner who lives above the property was very commendable and he was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. We felt very welcome and really enjoyed our stay. Would have no trouble recommending the property to others.

We enjoyed our stay at the Bay view pool home very much! We found the per night cost very reasonable and the neighborhood is absolutely beautiful! We found the location very convenient as well. Our boys used the pool only once as we spent our time away from the home during the day usually. It was very convenient to have the kitchen to use and the tupperware and cooler were excellent additions! It was great to have the salt and pepper to use and the aluminum foil and saran wrap. Those are all little things that make a big difference when staying in a place where you're planning on making meals. The place was absolutely perfect for us.
