The unit (#139)we were supposed to stay in was completely unacceptable to us. We took one look and walked out and found other arrangements at the last minute. The pictures looked very nice and inviting online. The reality was far from it and extremely overpriced for what this was. And then we found out that it is refered to as "low income housing" by the locals. Nice!

Clean, well kept unit. Each bedroom was very large with lots of closet space. Very modern kitchen with nice appliances. We did most of our evening meals there. Bill was wonderful (the landlord). He gave us directions to all of the markets, not only food markets but local produce markets. The view of the ocean was perfect from the deck as well from inside the unit. Morning coffee on the deck watching for the spinner dolphins. After the first week we left to share a condo with family, but were ready to return for the third week. I would stay in this unit again and would advise family/friends to stay here too. Everyday we went to the beach (we found 3 that became our favorite) and explored somewhere different every day. There is so much to do and see on 'The Big Island' and would encourage family/friends to stay in Kona area. We had a wonderful time!!
